I've signed up with iData 3 package which is 3GB. Come to think of it, if they offer a cap after 3GB of usage, that is reasonable. However, they imposed a RM0.01/KB which is quite expensive.

I'm thinking of switching to iValue 1...

Add-on 2:29PM: I'm still on pre-book list and has not gotten any SMS yet. The lady from Maxis center TTDI told me I am allow to change my plan when iphone arrives, so that's the reason I'm thinking of switching it to ivalue plan instead of iData...

And ur point being?! Also, I don't think ur allowed to shift plans; but if the plan is going to make Maxis richer, perhaps there's still a possibility.

i do consider signing a maxis ivalue plan, just come back from maxis centre at pavilian, but what i ask was they reply that we cannnot make free call and sms when i sign to ivalue...y?????

The old plans wouldn't allow the FREE calls but the latest plans allow it; check again with the CS and ask them to refer to the website; it states clearly on the website [unless of course Maxis changed their rules again]

Do they have the phone in stock, if I were to buy the phone without contract? Since one cannot book for it unless you want to subscribe to iValue or iData plans?

they dun have the phone in stock as they not selling just iphone itself anymore, phone must go with contract and the booking perior from 2 week to no more than one month.

The question u've asked has been answered at least 2x within the last 2 days; please read through the forum.

For your information, there are 4 credit card Maxis Center accept for installment plan.(Public bank, Maybank, citibank and HSBC). So far, i only know HSBC and Citibank is 0% interest and no processing fee. If maxis do impose processing fee, you can put up a complain to bank negara or to the credit card itself on the merchant.

But those using Maybank and Public bank credit card, i not very sure. Before put booking on Maxis Center, please double confirm with the person incharge working there own the merchant machine for HSBC, Citibank and Maybank. Public bank, i think u need to fill up some form.

I previously talked to Maxis CS and she told me that there will be a 4% fee incurred, not really sure for what though.

tinkerbel, for Hotlink Youth Club, it says 1sen/kb at peak rates. So RM30 can only give me 3000kb~3mb.

1. Can iData go with prepaid?
2. If cannot, then i subscribe just iData RM30 into my postpaid plan without buying 3GS also can?

Hey guys, i just got my bill for my phone and found out that i have rm200+ for data charge. I am currently on the Idata 2 plan. How come maxis still did not switch my usage to the plan? any ideas?

Just pay 1st (up 2 u, but the best choice to avoid network interruption), bring ur bill to the big maxis center (KLCC is the best option) and sort it out asap. they screwed up my plan too, i opt for idata2 but they registered me as idata3 user, most probably they wont refund ur money, but u get the rebate in ur next bill, hope this helps

few questions here,
1, i noticed this from rate plan :
"Orders for iPhone 3GS can be placed at Maxis Centres, selected Maxis and Apple dealers with a deposit of RM 200. Orders are available only for purchases with i-Value and iData contracts"
what does this mean? no order for prepaid plan? i'll get the iphone immediately when i purchase it at maxis centre?
2, Is credit card allowed to be used for purchasing of iphones under any plans?
3, 0% installment = no interest charge for 6/12 mths purchasing i3gs using cc? if i buy i3gs under prepaid plan, using cc, i got charge interest for the next few mths till i pay all the outstanding balance?

1. Maxis is not taking anymore prebookings under the Hotlink prepaid options. You will need to wait till stock levels are up, then U should be able to just walk in and make the purchase but that should only happen about a month or two from now IMO.

2. Yes, most places will accept credit card payment.

3. Refer to Page 1 re instalment plans. I'm not too familiar.

I heard that conversation on maxis customer service too, but i did ask Citibank and HSBC customer service said "merchant are not allow to impose any priocessing fee on 0% instalment payment plan and if the merchant impose processing on your payment, you can actually put up a complain to us (Citibank/HSBC) or to Bank Negara".

For Maybank and Public bank credit card, i not very sure. I suggest you call up your own credit card customer service to clarify about the interest and processing fee, before you do any transaction at maxis center.
