Maxis updated their website today. No more Unlimited Data plan at RM99.
Capped at 3Gb per month for RM88.
No need to argue anymore on whether it's capped or unlimitedĀ  tongue.gif

how does the 1 day package works??? looks very confusing to me... rclxub.gif

*edit: seems like maxis has removed the extra bytes from the value extras

it's stated below the packages:

* Maximum usage for 1 Hour and 1 Day use is 100MB and 500MB. Subsequent usage will be charged RM0.01/KB (peak) and RM0.05/KB (off peak)
* Subsequent usage for Monthly pass will be charged RM0.05/KB

Hi All,

Just had dinner with Maxis Insider after being quarantined for 2 weeks. Some new updates with regards to these 'Hour Passes'. For those who's previously on the RM99 Unlimited Plan, ur plan will remain at Unlimited but apparently it's now capped at 6GB p/month.

The rest is self explanatory as per chart provided by forummer ps360.

@CrossFirE,
Y the need to double post? Also, ur questions have been answered more than once; Y U asking the same question over and over again ah? tongue.gif

I just found out that my current maxis Data unlimited package is capped at 5GB per month has just drop to 3GB per month thanks to iData Plan 3.

For the post 1120# is it meant for normal postpaid package?

yes u can throw away the hotlink, i keep in wallet for emergency use only. I am using them on other telcos biggrin.gif

the 500MB free is pretty hard to consume giving maxis3g snail speed cool.gif

Please refer to post #1126.
Unlimited for existing subscription will still be valid at RM99/m for 6GB cap.

I've signed up with iData 3 package which is 3GB. Come to think of it, if they offer a cap after 3GB of usage, that is reasonable. However, they imposed a RM0.01/KB which is quite expensive.

I'm thinking of switching to iValue 1...

--------------------------------------------

Add-on 2:29PM: I'm still on pre-book list and has not gotten any SMS yet. The lady from Maxis center TTDI told me I am allow to change my plan when iphone arrives, so that's the reason I'm thinking of switching it to ivalue plan instead of iData...

@thankyou,
And ur point being?! Also, I don't think ur allowed to shift plans; but if the plan is going to make Maxis richer, perhaps there's still a possibility.

> I'm currently on Value Plus 50 and have supplementary lines on Family Plus 30, calls from main-supp, supp-main, supp-supp are free. If I switch to iValue, will I still able to enjoy free calls with my supplementary lines?
- Yes. With the new revised iValue plans, calls & SMS made to and from your supp lines will remain free. (subjected to Family Plus T&C) (UPDATED)

i do consider signing a maxis ivalue plan, just come back from maxis centre at pavilian, but what i ask was they reply that we cannnot make free call and sms when i sign to ivalue...y?????
which side is correct???

@jasjay8708,
The old plans wouldn't allow the FREE calls but the latest plans allow it; check again with the CS and ask them to refer to the website; it states clearly on the website [unless of course Maxis changed their rules again]

@Darkmage12:
installment is applicable for outright purchases but there might or might not be additional surcharge. consult your bank's CC customer service.

@hussain:

there should be stocks for 3G.
*
so the installment have to be negotiated with the bank unlike the one found at the first page right?

Do they have the phone in stock, if I were to buy the phone without contract? Since one cannot book for it unless you want to subscribe to iValue or iData plans?

For your information, there are 4 credit card Maxis Center accept for installment plan.(Public bank, Maybank, citibank and HSBC). So far, i only know HSBC and Citibank is 0% interest and no processing fee. If maxis do impose processing fee, you can put up a complain to bank negara or to the credit card itself on the merchant.

But those using Maybank and Public bank credit card, i not very sure. smile.gif Before put booking on Maxis Center, please double confirm with the person incharge working there own the merchant machine for HSBC, Citibank and Maybank. Public bank, i think u need to fill up some form.

I previously talked to Maxis CS and she told me that there will be a 4% fee incurred, not really sure for what though.

tinkerbel, for Hotlink Youth Club, it says 1sen/kb at peak rates. So RM30 can only give me 3000kb~3mb.

1. Can iData go with prepaid?
2. If cannot, then i subscribe just iData RM30 into my postpaid plan without buying 3GS also can?
3. The calculation above correct?

1. No.
2. iData must go with purchase of i3G/3GS. or else, you'll need to opt for these packages:
