Anyone make their booking at Machines, Sunway Pyramid? Hows the waiting time compare Maxis Center?

I made a booking there on August 3rd, up till now they have yet to receive stock. I don't know about the Maxis branch at Sunway Pyramid either. My friend booked there on September 3rd, and so far no news. Try not to book at Machines, because they don't seem to be getting stock so far. So, you might want to try someplace else? :/

you booked aug 3rd and still havent got your phone yet? i booked 12/8 at machines klcc, and i got mine on 16/9, just about a month, do you bug them a lot, like spam their email, call them everyday, show your face there?

You mean sent to Machines or Maxis email?...I plan to book at Machines Sunway Pyramid 1..since Maxis center seems like didnt accept CIMB credit card installment:(

he booked from machines, so he can only bug machines loh, maxis won't entertain him. I don't really know how to advise you on this one though, cause i just paid by credit card. other forummers here should be able to help you.

yeah, RM2390 is reasonable, imo. a brand new outright purchase set from maxis is RM2490. If you like it, and the unit is in good condition, then why not?

Yup, pretty worth it. No worries if you don't have data plan for it. You can always get the apps via WIFI or via iTunes (with iPhone connected). However, if you wish to reveal the potential of iPhone on the move, then you definitely need a data plan for it.

I have been doing as you say, haha. I study really near Sunway Pyramid so I drop by the place at least 3 times a week. The staff even recognizes me by now, I think. When I call/email/ask them, I get pretty much the same answer in return: that they're experiencing worldwide shortage or Maxis has yet to bring in stock for them. My father even dropped them a call and he was the one who sent the complaints by email. I guess I just have to wait it out, since pushing them doesn't seem to yield any result. Thanks for your suggestions, though. (:

Finally I've collected my iPhone 3gs' at Maxis Center The Gardens this evening. One for me and one for my gf.

I was trying my luck bringing the booking slips and approached the counter as no Maxis representatives called me ask to pickup the iPhones and it came to my suprise when the salesperson brought the beautiful boxes infront of me.

Now I'm fiddling with this beauty. Going to jailbreak it tonight.

Oh yes, I booked the iPhones on 5th September. Today is 27th. Only 22 days waiting.

if you get 'no cellular data service', it may just be temporary when the phone cant detect 3G network. the 3G icon will disappear & E will appear. no additional settings needed. just surf only. i'm using this 500MB monthly & not faced any issues with it, either with 3G or E.

some MEP allow u to purchase phone with prepaid plan...u should try ask those MEPs...i recommend MEP at Ampang Point...u can get ur phone within 3 weeks.

The 2,000 hours of internet surfing is approximately calculated from the number of data bandwidth quota allocated to you every month. Be very careful on the 2,000 hours of internet surfing because it can mean a lot of things. It could be websites with only text (since data transferred is usually small) or maybe one two websites but stagnant there for a few hundred hours.

Just ignore all those approximation, they are meant to give a quantitative figure for consumer to make comparisons. Just look at the data bandwidth quota allocated to you and watch the cellular data counter.
