Just got a quote from my friend for the Pana 50S10. Its only Rm5600 with a free camera.

I'm waiting for him to get back to me whether can get extended warranty for 5 years and & also whther can buy without the free camera.  Anyone know which model camera they give?
*
whatever camera they are giving, is not worth it unless you really need a camera. nothing is free, the camera is cost in the bundle..just a matter how much they value it..

bro..not only movies, video in general.  As you have heard some review about the x10k color, they mentioned is natural while some forum members here mentioned the new s10k borders on a bit of oversaturation of the green.  I believes it has something to do with the anti glare coatings on the glass.  Anti reflective coating is expensive stuff, and look at the vast area of glass the need to coat!

thats is the reason why some plasma is Sooooo...expensive...KURO anyone?
*
Yes, Kuro is the one, the only one "perfect" Plasma... but the price is 3 times than S series (KRP-500a last priced at RM18K).
LG PQ30 plasma has less reflection and not full HD but the picture is beautiful. My worry is, 3 display units of LG in Best denki mid valley have screen problem ... some lines breaking etc... Quality questionable.

People aren't always watching movies. Got news, sports, documentary, sit coms, etc. The whole point with TV is to be able to watch in lighted environment and the reflective screen is too distracting for this. I say bring back anti-reflective screens!
*
very true. Not everyone watches movies. It is amazing how glossy screens have gotten away with murder.

Pay some journalist to say glossy screen gives better colour and everybody chants and sing praises to the glossy screen.

In actual fact, glossy screen in either a notebook or a plasma is a big pain and totally cannot be tolerated.

But yet, some people swear glossy screens are great.

I got 2 notebooks, one glossy and one matte. When I take the glossy to Starbucks, I cannot see a thing. But the matte, I see clearly.

And yet, people chase Apple with their super glossy screens. Half the time, see people moving their faces close to the screen to read stuff

Wah what a range of offers, from:

5900 w/ free hdmi and s-video to...
5600 w/ free camera to...
4850 TV only

It's like the price is dropping so fast, reminds me of what happened with BD60.

at one time notebook maker only offer the stupid crystal bright thingie technology to buyer...no matte version, during that time, everymaker is coining this idea of movies viewing in notebook. after much complain from consumers, only they offer back the matte version. My notebook and desktop all using matte version, and need to go thru great pain looking for ones too.. mad.gif

reflective screen do produce better contrast and color and this is not due to the review of some reviewer, use your eyes la bro...put 1 reflective and 1 matte in a dark room, you will see a difference la...

On friday I saw 42X18k / 42X10K selling for RM 3090 in Senq in Sunway Pyramid. This deal comes with a free camera. While stock last.

I have asked what is the difference between x18k and x 10k and he said there are no difference. Is that true?

I also saw and it is worth it. Works out to RM2800 if you consider the camera.

But it looks like a mirror lah. Reflection so so bad.

Good, at this price, nobody would even bother buying Sharp and Sony 52 inch LCD. Why pay more than double?

Guys,
Do you think this TV is too big for 7 to 8 feet viewing distance?

I think it is kind of big for 7 to 8 ft. It will be hard for you to cover the whole Screen. Have a go in Best denki/ Senq / Harvey Norman before start purchasing the TV.

RM 4850 for p50s10k model without freebies. That is good deal. I would be interested as well. Value added for the price includes Plasma TV, Full hd and 50'. Will rock with Astro and with Blu-ray movies.
