the reflective screen is advisable for movie cos it improves contrast..as movie is suppose to be watch in a dim environment just like in the cinema..but as for computer monitor, the mirror reflective surface is the pain in the axx.

if i am not mistaken, Sony is the pioneer in adapting this reflective surface for its LCD ccomputer monitor..

People aren't always watching movies. Got news, sports, documentary, sit coms, etc. The whole point with TV is to be able to watch in lighted environment and the reflective screen is too distracting for this. I say bring back anti-reflective screens!

bro..not only movies, video in general. As you have heard some review about the x10k color, they mentioned is natural while some forum members here mentioned the new s10k borders on a bit of oversaturation of the green. I believes it has something to do with the anti glare coatings on the glass. Anti reflective coating is expensive stuff, and look at the vast area of glass the need to coat!

thats is the reason why some plasma is Sooooo...expensive...KURO anyone?

Just got a quote from my friend for the Pana 50S10. Its only Rm5600 with a free camera.

I'm waiting for him to get back to me whether can get extended warranty for 5 years and & also whther can buy without the free camera.  Anyone know which model camera they give?

whatever camera they are giving, is not worth it unless you really need a camera. nothing is free, the camera is cost in the bundle..just a matter how much they value it..

very true. Not everyone watches movies. It is amazing how glossy screens have gotten away with murder.

Pay some journalist to say glossy screen gives better colour and everybody chants and sing praises to the glossy screen.

In actual fact, glossy screen in either a notebook or a plasma is a big pain and totally cannot be tolerated.

But yet, some people swear glossy screens are great.

I got 2 notebooks, one glossy and one matte. When I take the glossy to Starbucks, I cannot see a thing. But the matte, I see clearly.

And yet, people chase Apple with their super glossy screens. Half the time, see people moving their faces close to the screen to read stuff

at one time notebook maker only offer the stupid crystal bright thingie technology to buyer...no matte version, during that time, everymaker is coining this idea of movies viewing in notebook. after much complain from consumers, only they offer back the matte version. My notebook and desktop all using matte version, and need to go thru great pain looking for ones too.. mad.gif

reflective screen do produce better contrast and color and this is not due to the review of some reviewer, use your eyes la bro...put 1 reflective and 1 matte in a dark room, you will see a difference la...
