QUOTE(neekun @ Jul 1 2009, 09:17 PM) Just came across the following in iPhone 3GS information guide as found in the box : ....ability of this oleophobic coating to remove repel oil will diminish over time with normal usage So enjoy it while it still works and I guess i am going to get PowerSupport Anti Glare screen protector. String managed to get yours today at KLCC Machines? QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 1 2009, 09:37 PM) @neekun, Machines KLCC ran out of that particular brand. They say that Power Support protector would run out first before the other brand. Must be really good.Er.. is that the protector you said comes in 2?! @stringfellow, In that case, wanna share?! QUOTE(boring @ Jul 1 2009, 12:33 PM) @tinkerbel, not sure why in this case. I got the same bugs too. Did you use the ipcc file given in other thread? Becauz i didnt and maybe there is something wrong with my setting. I guess..Even without sending the message, I can see it will be send as MMS already. 1. Send to only 1 person = SMS ![]() 2. Send to more than 1 person = MMS ![]() Anyway small matter, I can just disable the MMS via setting. It just a bit inconvenient only. If i disable the MMS setting, i syill can receive MMS. arent i? |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jul 1 2009, 05:13 PM) Hey there, well met! Nice meeting you too! I dont think I need to poison him anymore, the look I saw on his face says it all! E-P1 ??. How much in japan ? Why just dont buy here instead ?. They have a special preview on this coming saturday.Managed to take out the Mophie Air from his iPhone? With the Gelaskin, it is a bit tight. Just a fair warning to others who have Gelaskins or other thin "balut" type protection, the Mophie Air may need a little more pushing and shoving to take out if you have it on. Added on July 1, 2009, 6:03 pmAnybody wants anything from Osaka? Last tine it was about the iClooly but now that case/stand holds my Gameboy Micro instead! |

Apple Releases Beta 3.1 iPhone Firmware and SDK to Developers
QUOTE ![]() Even with the recent release of iPhone 3.0, Apple is hard at work at the next update: iPhone 3.1. Apple seeded registered developers with a beta version of the firmware and SDK today. Few details were provided as to the improvements to be found in the new firmware. The latest build number is 7C97D. iPhone OS 3.1 Features: Non-Destructive Video Editing, Voice Control Over Bluetooth and More QUOTE Apple yesterday seeded iPhone OS 3.1 and iPhone SDK 3.1 betas to developers for testing, and users have been digging through the new releases to document new features. Among the changes found so far by readers in our forums, at Redmond Pie, and at MobileCrunch: - Trimming video clips on the iPhone 3GS now offers the ability to save the edited version as a copy rather than simply overwriting the original file. - Voice Control over Bluetooth is now available, allowing users to Initiate calls and control music playback via Bluetooth headsets. - MMS is now enabled by default, but still not supported by AT&T. - iPhone vibrates when rearranging Home screen icons. - A "Fraud Protection" toggle is now available in Safari settings. - iPhone startup and shutdown and app launching times have improved. - New APIs allow developers of third-party application to access and edit videos. - OpenGL and Quartz have seen improvements. |

QUOTE(tishaban @ Jul 2 2009, 06:04 PM) Depends on how you see it really. I got my 3G[S] for a mere 1.2k, after using the 1.8k I get from selling off the 3G to roll the money around. When you think about it, it is not that expensive. The initial investment may be huge, you might say, but I sold off my EDGE iPhone for RM2k, when I got it for USD299. So that's RM900+ earned, and then rolled onto the 3G model, and then this 3G[S]. The key to gadget-purchasing is never to let it go beyond its "expiry date". That way, the price to let go for will always remain high, or high enough for you not to spend so much on the next similar purchase. |

I do understand the expiry date issue, I've been doing it with my Macs which is why I'm Macbook less at the moment. @tink unfortunately for you I don't do the lottery, but I do submit my Shell contest forms! RM30k is nothing to sneeze at This post has been edited by tishaban: Jul 2 2009, 06:19 PM |

@tishaban,
It'll be good if U can find a way to work around that Shell contest and make all of us big winners *smiles* RM30k will be suffice to finance the NEW 2010 iPhone + the trip to NY |

Basically I am just not happy with the teaser that was sent by the company's vice president without any single bit of information that we have not yet known.. Just wasting resources.. |

It's better than nothing I think. But then if nothing happens after that for too long, there might be slight frustration from potential buyers. So you can be assured that Singtel won't want that to happen.
As for Maxis, who knows.. |

QUOTE(shdwkillr @ Jul 2 2009, 09:43 PM) Actually Singtel is the same thing - god knows when.. ahhh... you there. if you reckon that is a waste of resources, then you certainly don't know how the business world works.They sent a teaser to us who registered in their website for "first hand" details about the pricing and launch.. Basically I am just not happy with the teaser that was sent by the company's vice president without any single bit of information that we have not yet known.. Just wasting resources.. teasers (not just applicable to iPhones), basically are there to harness interest from the public. and from there, speculations will start to grow and next thing you know, the hype comes in. glamour shares/stocks (during the colonial times) work exactly on the same basis part of marketing gimmick and is far from "wasting resources" |
