Yes that is true but there's nothing much we can do about it. I only hope the problem is NOT a problem cause I wouldn't want to be sending my unit back to AU

Anybody going to see DG play today? I'm going and I could care less with the standby they are forcing me to do. We can kill 3 birds with one stone: the Discovery Week itself, see DG rock it out on stage, and also if anyone wanna test the speed of everything on my 3G[S]. I will also be there with the Mophie Juice Pack Air and the TruePower iV battery pack for 3G[S].

The overheating could be due to "abnormal usage normal" since it's new, when u got a new toy, u tend to spend more time wif it or could it bcoz of the "3G network" on all the time?? just some ideas.

Anyway on the Singtel release, is it reliable? Source? Singtel itself??? If it's true, I could be there in less than 30 mins drive!!!! heeeee

Guys, my iPhone failed me just now and i think this only happen with the 3.0 OS.

As i was travelled back from SG to KL and the whole journey took me around 5hours, thus for sure i was ipod-ing throughout the whole distance. But to my disappointment, the iPhone run out of juice in less than 3.5hours travelling time with 3G/edge totally disable.

Been fully charged the iPhone the night before and minimizing the usage on the day just to prepare for this journey. Who knows, it's still running out of juice. I used to do this previously with 2.2.1 OS and normally it will last till i'm reached home, or even no problem to standby till the next day.

Apple, what you did to the 3.0 OS? cant you don't compromise the feature vs the battery performance?

btw, how's the iPhone3GS battery performance? White to go or black to go? Will consider if the upgrade option from singtel is justify reasonable.

Ok, google it up. Lotsa website are reporting it while it mentioned pricing will be out early nex week. However, they don't sell it outright (prepaid plan) under the 3G, let's hope they do now!

did you turn off push email? i notice because of out crappy phone coverage, if Mail.app starts to pull for emails and gets cut off due to poor signal, it will continue to "search & pull" and keep the radio on hence draining the battery. i notice that when i launch mail.app and force kill it then problem solved. it happened with 2.2.1 but i notice less with 3.0 now.

Added on July 4, 2009, 8:07 amIf true this is again in my opinion another stupid move similar to launching the iPhone 3G in March/ April 09. By Dec, everybody who wanted a 3GS would probably have got their hands on an unlocked model already. Those left behind might be stuck with their 2 year contract with maxis and unable to upgrade.

Am seriously considering HK/AU/NZ model if no word from maxis withiin july...

Probably there are 2 possible causes of the battery draining issue (my guess).

As last nite having difficulties in re-charging my iPhone. The battery keep on draining and it wont fully charge.

So i removed the fake APN profile (previously install to fully disable the network connection) and this morning the iPhone is fully charge already.

Im connected to home WiFi network and suddenly the BeejiveIm pop-up a message telling my MSN is logged off.

So my guess, BeejiveIm is trying to get connection after i've installed the fake APN and this cause the battery to drain so fast!

Well, i dont have time to retry the above setting so that's just my guess. Next time, still better to log-off BeejiveIM whenever not use.

Feels kinda warm while using, especially when using push email.

Maybe that MMS settings Maxis offer is for those who don't use officially unlocked Maxis units as for us the officially unlocked with Maxis active line, the carrier update in iTunes will have those settings already so the iPhone is ready to go. There's no settings to mess inside and be found inside the iPhone's settings, it's taken care of.

i think slightly warm is normal. been gaming a lot lately and it feels warm too. but i gotta admit the battery life is worse ever since update to 3.0. used to be on 2.2 and on normal usage, battery can last up to 1 day plus but now it drains out in less than 24 hours.

F**king awesome show, Altered Frequency brought down the house at the Mac+iPod Discovery Week in Midvalley! Videos to prove it later, DG you are officially in my books the coolest bassist and moderator I've ever known.
