I have called our beloved Maxis CS just now. Apparently, if you haven gotten any message, E-mails or Calls regrading delay of the iphone, you will be able to collect your phone on the date that you selected during the booking. And i have double confirm with it.

Cross your finger, that you dont receive any of these calls or message.

Went to Selayang Maxis center to book for my 2nd iphone.

Selayang Maxis Centre already have the stock there, and I have the chance to play with the iphne 3gs just now. It's really different when sliding through the application pages

The staff told me that those who paid thier deposit for 16gb iphone before 27th of July will get thier phone as schedule. For 32gb it might be some delay untill further notice.

Regret to book my 1st iphone on Wangsa maju MEP outlet on 22nd July. Should book it in the selayang maxis center Call them in the maxis center just now, they said they havent recieve any single iphone yet.

Latest update @ Cheras Maxis Centre:

16gb available as of 2morrow for collection, however 32gb only as of 1st of August.

I have already waited for 2 whole weeks , and now they start saying insufficient stock!!?!?

Why do people like last minute jobs.....
Why not make things clear by saying there are limited stocks before people buy from them.

This's gonna reduce Maxis's reputation for sure.

Anyway, anyone booked thier phone at Maxis Centre , The Gardens? Any news regarding no stock?

I guess it's a 50:50. Reduce because of this incident, but increase because they are the only iPhone provider in Malaysia, and of course this time around with reasonable price. Your choice.

Just got off from 123 with a CS...

Apparent, even Maxis staff who booked also have some delayed deliveries for themselves. Even if there are delays, they mentioned it SHOULD be within 1-2 days, so no biggie.

All this is in relation to my case, which I booked as Maxis Centre, The Gardens.

So if you DON"T get that SMS regarding any delays then you can go and collect from your selected time.

sounds great..i booked a slot for 31july but im not quite sure if i can make it tmr..so if i go on 1st aug..do u think ill be given preference to the stock? i booked a 16gb..

You should be able to get your phone. The prob is only for those who chose 31st July as their collection date, as most of the stock has not arrived yet, as previously I've read that malaysian customs held back some of the stocks.

I think it's safe for you, because the manager told me that, follow by thier staff too.

shud be quite pack i think.. Still quite many people are booking for the phone today.. but too bad it's consider as 2nd batch.. Have to wait for 1-2 weeks or maybe earlier..

You shud go check out for the iphone 3gs today.

Sad for those MEP outlets... The stock is not arrive yet.

My side of the story now.

Informed by Machines KLCC:

1. We will definitely receive SOME stock tonight or tomorrow morning
2. Stocks are EXTREMELY limited
3. We will give out based on first come fist serve basis on bookings
4. If you receive phone call/sms from us on collection, you may then come and pick it up. Else, wait for further notice

Let's hope that Maxis will do something about the delay. Say free 500 SMS or something?

i received a phone call from a maxis personnel and she said it got delayed due to custom. The 32GB only

The 16GB is still being released tomorrow and asked whether i want that.

I said nah... might as well just wait another few days... waited a while anyway HAHAA!

Went to Maxis Centre @ JB. Were informed that stocks will be arriving in evening. Got confirmed that both my i3GS will be waiting for me tomorrow. Plan to go there ard 8am, hopefully the Q will be short..

Just called maxis one u, my iphone will be waiting for me even though i'm collecting at nite tmr, i assume enough stock for everyone there.

the guy just asked me for my name, color of iphone and either 16gb/32gb, after than he ran thru his list then he said it's reserved for me. i asked whether i could collect at nite since i'm working during the day and dun bother to take leave, he said no prob.

In Malaysia kuching due to slight delay in arrival of stock kindly collect you iphone3gs at the location you have chosen from 5 aug anwards

Could be they're holding on to the stock, wait till people complain all over the internet to create buzz, then roll out the phones all over the country, haha

which maxis centre u refer to ? Danga bay or Molek?
Just received call from maxis, they not yet receive any .
need to confirm tomorrow morning , they say will call me at 11am .
hopefully can get it tomorrow...
