try to feed it white chicken breast (include the skin and fat) from chinese (halal ones are too dry IMHO) chicken rice shop without any sauce.
Just tapau 5rm of meat without any rice.
RM5 will probably get you 2-3 servings for the kitten, fridge the leftover.
Don't make it think that it's going to get this meat all the time if you cannot afford it in the long run.

Raw boneless chicken meat is nice too if you got time to bulk purchase Raw chicken thighs from big super marts, wash, cut, pack into small tupperwares and put into freezer.
Don't worry about the bacteria as long as the meat is not spoiled, cats digest their food pretty fast compared to human's digestion system.
You will need to do your research before venturing into the world of RAW feeding.

Cats are a big protein consuming predator.

1st of all, did you give what your kitten deserves? Did you refer the chart on those premium food pack? Vet once told me, kittens tends to eat less but more on frequencies. Ex. 1 adult cat might take once to finish A portion while kitten used 2-5 times to finish it. If food intake is fine then don't force to feed unless they haven't eat for 24hrs. The kitty is still 3 months old, you'll slowly notice the weight once around 5-6 months.

Much like Mama when she's still a kitten, he will only sleep nearby me.
If I'm on the bed, he'll sleep on the bed.
If I'm watching the TV, he'll sleep on my lap.
If I'm infront of the computer, he'll sleep either infront of the keyboard or on the mousepad.

Senang lar.
Whenever you see him going to pee, let him scratch the ground where he / she is standing, while she's peeing, take her to where you want him / her to poop & pee.
Leave the poop or pee for 2 hours and if possible, don't let him / her run away from that place you want them to poop.
This is to let him / her know where exactly you want them to poop / pee & they'll remember that place by the smell, that's why you have to leave it for 2 hours.

Feline's sense of smell is greater than humans, eventhough you've clean that place and you didn't smell anything anymore, your cats will still get the smell that humans can't smell.

From the original place where she / he poop / pee which you don't want, clean it thoroughly, then spray 3 - 4 times with a perfume that works, use original perfume, it's not a waste, it will benefit you in the future.

Cats have their own personalities. It can differ from sex to breed to environment and so on. You'll learn it through the process when you're having your own kitten till become a cat. smile.gif Breed does share their own common personalities. Do search wiki for more info.

Thx for the prompt reply. I do have a kitten actually, a female one. It's very naughty right now but all kittens are at this age I think. And I do notice that some breeds have very good personalities. But cats have a mind of their own, don't they. Smart creatures smile.gif

You can say that. My two 3 months old kitten always sat in front on my car whenever i came back from work. All they want is for me to pick them up, take them inside the car so that they can sit on my lap while i park my car.

If they do it during day i don't mind but i do sometime come home around 12 to 1 in the morning, so you can imagine the 2 cat just sat day miowing at me looking like two little kids saying "dad..take us for a ride please"..heheheh... tongue.gif

But luckily both are cute and adorable...so once i hold them and that's it...gone all the "marah" in the first place.

talking about breeds, the source sometimes are not accurate. why? it is still rely on genetics background of the parents. just like human. They are good, they are bad.. again why? because different generation different behavior. and some more very less breeder are good in breeding. mistake in choosing male + female will create different behavior kittens. that's why proper breeding is hard. most breeder nowadays just simply produce new kitten base on the look but not personalities. it may not be 100% accurate.

ah i really need help here.

my cat just gave birth last night and i got 2 new born kitten.
so the problem is, one kitten in a box and being ignored and one more safe and being nursing by her mom.
what should i do to make the mother to take care both of their baby?
when i want to take the ignored baby to her mom, her mom suddenly come to me became "garang" to protect her baby.
then she leaves her baby in the box again and start nursing the other baby.
so i freak out i just leave the baby in the box. and yes the baby miaw miaw so loud for now looking for her mom and milk i guess?

so any solution for this?

thanks.

Hi there Paradiddle,

First of Congratulations on your new born kittens!
Secondly sorry to hear that the mum is not nursing the other baby.
Usually people say that the mother cats knows that the baby is sickly and most unlikely to survive and that is why she is not paying any attention to the poor little kitty.
What you can do is when she is nursing the other kitten, put the other kitten to her nipple and try to get the little one to suck.
If this fails, then you will need to get a nursing bottle and milk specially designed for kittens and feed the kitten yourself.
Feeding will be every two hours just like a normal baby.
It will be tough but the little one needs milk in order to survive.
Hold the little one up right so that the milk goes down the throat and not into the lungs.
After half an hour (after feeding) you will need to gently rub near her private part to stimulate the kitten peeing and pooing.
If you don't have the time, I have a friend who has a mother cat who is still nursing her baby.
Perhaps we can try and see if the other mother cat would be able to help.

Good Luck! thumbup.gif

You will need to cut it off.
But not all of it.
Leave about an inch of the umbilical cord.
It will dry and drop off by itself.
