Hi guys,

So I see Ahsiah saying the dell is not for "graphics users".
Mine telling why this is so?
I am looking for a 22-24 inch LCD now.
But I do a lot of photography so color is a big thing for me, but at the same time, I do play some games.
My budget currently stands at RM500-800.

Was looking at the Samsung P2370 & the BenQ T2200HD.
Which is better?

Nooby in terms of LCD stuff, so plz do recommend.
Thanks~!  icon_rolleyes.gif

If like that, the best will be Apple Cinema Display....

I believe Dell UltraSharpTM 2209WA meet your needs, its price is RM799 and its using IPS panel. Better color reproduction that great for photography.

My brother and sister both graphics designer, they both not satisfied with Dell S2409W. I guess the model is not for Graphics designer.

TN panel not really good in color reproduction, that's why your bro & sis doesn't satfisfied with ti. But its cheap !

i might get acer h233h now then in 2010 strongly consider

LG 27inch W2753v-pf or Dell S2709w or HP W2558hc or T260 Samsung not T260hd. If they are in Malaysia that time then its good otherwise i will import.

also are you guys noticing somethings?? almost all the brands are not releasing or even annoucing new models of lcd monitors.

1. they are strongly focusing on 16:9 and there is no new 24 inchers or above all are 23.6 inch or 23 inch as 16:9 ratio fits it perfectly. So we will not see any 24 inches or above unless 16:9 maybe 24.6 or 25 inch odd sizes..

2. Also many brands like AOC, DELL, LG and Samsung are in confusion and want to make more LED monitors than LCD thats why we are not seeing new models of lcds. so no new models i think the current models they have in market will run out and price of monitors will increase again
as there is few supply

If you want cheap and good, get the Acer H233H. It has 1080p Full HD with HDMI port and should be just right for your PS3.

Work that requires precise colors matching will be problematic with Dell UltraSharp 2209WA. For photo editing / web design, color calibration will be mandatory, due to incorrect gamma curve. On the other hand, precision, grayscale, lack of color inversion and price make this monitor more attractive for the purpose.

Errmmmm....this review doesn't seem to say too kindly of the Dell 2209WA's colors.... sweat.gif

When looking for review, try to look for reputable sites.

http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/review/2009...ell-2209wa.html

e-IPS is the lowest end of the IPS family, for that price one cannot complain much. The quality is very near to my S-IPS 2007WFP.

You need to browse through the small & medium business category to find it (cannot get at under home and home office) http://www1.ap.dell.com/my/en/business/mon...s=bsd&cs=mybsd1
First time I also can't find it as well.

You can't compared the E-IPS with those more expensive IPS panel.

2209WA E-IPS at 799
24" IPS at 1699

I don't find it is fair to compare with higher end IPS panel as price wise differentiate so much. But for me, compared with TN panel, it gives you better viewing angle, better colour + height adjustable + swivel, rotate, USB, it seems competitive already. While price wise differ not too much, not more than 200 more expensive.

The reason I choose it, I can't find any panel besides TN which below 1000 (because if can (price wise), I try to avoid having another TN panel, mainly due to viewing angle which I sometimes I need to see the screen while standing.

I don't see the review given too bad comment about it, it is surely not a perfect top notch lcd, but somehow it suits some area people needed, at least for me.

It is not realistic to expect to pay less than 800 then getting a top notch product, right? wink.gif
