Hi, got any 'highly' recommended LCD monitor within RM1000? My 1st priority is high image quality (especially colour). The size is within 20-22".
*
You're looking for an IPS panel. Go for Dell 2209WA 22"

I got a quotation for Dell 30" Ultrasharp and it'll cost around RM4500 with 3 years warranty. What other options do I have? smile.gif I wish Asus makes 30" as I'm happy with my VK266H
*
Go for ACD 30". Forget about the DELL. brows.gif

OLEDs are still way too expensive to be made into 22 inch monitors right?  sweat.gif

Apple?
I know they make great displays....but the price is just  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

Work that requires precise colors matching will be problematic with Dell UltraSharp 2209WA. For photo editing / web design, color calibration will be mandatory, due to incorrect gamma curve. On the other hand, precision, grayscale, lack of color inversion and price make this monitor more attractive for the purpose.

Errmmmm....this review doesn't seem to say too kindly of the Dell 2209WA's colors.... sweat.gif

When looking for review, try to look for reputable sites.

e-IPS is the lowest end of the IPS family, for that price one cannot complain much. The quality is very near to my S-IPS 2007WFP.

Don't think you can get 2209WA from shop, just buy it online.

guys , any recomendation about 24inch HD (1920 x 1080) with refresh rate above 60hz ?
*
Why on earth you want high refresh rate on LCD? LCD doesn't flicker, unlike CRT where refresh rate actually means something. Majority LCD refresh rate are fixed at 59/60Hz.

but i can clearly see the screen flicker on my previous Samsung 2233SW  when i sitting in front of it.  sad.gif    (very obvious)

Same thing happen to my fren's unit .

( i am connect it with my laptop's nvidia Geforce 9300GS , resolution at 1920 x 1080 @ 60hz) .
*
Either your previous LCD screwed up, something wrong with your VGA output on your laptop or the cable.

LCD doesn't not flicker. Higher or lower refresh rate doesn't change the output for LCD.

CRT flicker and that can be detected even with naked eyes.

Bro.. you mean if the CRT is say at 60 hz.. you can see it with naked eyes (as opposed to say filming it or seeing thru a viewcam)? Sorry if I sound nub cause I never experienced this before..
*
Yup, I can tell straightaway away the CRT refresh rate by looking at it. I work with CRT for too long - all Sony Trinitrons.

Blu-ray movie requast resolution at least 1920x1080.
Dell 2209WA max resolution is 1680x1050(22"). Since you mention 2209WA... if resolution 1920x1080 or above no problem watch Blu-ray movie  nod.gif

Extra: Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP 24" VA panel. But the price over your budget... hmm.gif
*
Low resolution also no problem with blu-ray wat. What you get is just downscaled version. It is not as clear as 1080p resoution but it is still consider as high definition.

Even my 4 yrs old 2007WFP, when I call for RMA they still send me refurbished 2007WFP.
