I got a quotation for Dell 30" Ultrasharp and it'll cost around RM4500 with 3 years warranty. What other options do I have? smile.gif I wish Asus makes 30" as I'm happy with my VK266H

LG LCD monitor  thumbup.gif
before upgrade to Acer 20' (X203H), i used LG W1942T,
Acer X203H & LGW1942T also same 5ms respond time, but i feel LG 5ms more faster display than Acer (for X203H & W1942T)

i think LG not too popular cause i fell LG monitor price a bit expensive  tongue.gif

How did you feel/tell LG 5ms is faster than Acer? smile.gif

My friend who opened Computer shop told me that he can't get any LG monitor anymore. lolx. LG seem like suddenly retired from monitor industry ?!
Ya, apparently LG is slowing down on the LCD market and not sure why sad.gif They were so quick in capturing market share last time but letting everything go now, lol. Weird.

I think he's talking about turning on the LCD from an "off" state to display showing up on the LCD? Anyway, that shouldn't be much of a concern to most people laugh.gif Colour, contrast and image quality would matter more.

The pixels are properly matched on most LCD's these days so shouldn't be an issue. I've used 20", 22" and now 26" in the past year so if you ask me, bigger LCD does make a difference. In fact I'm looking at getting a 30" soon (if my wallet permits) laugh.gif

I'm waiting till single slot GCs can produce decent fps at 2560x1200 before i make the jump to 30".  Oh that and the fact the 30" prices aren't mainstream enough for me sad.gif
*
There's already something called GTX 295 that would give you comfortable graphics at 2560x1200. Alternatively, you can do GTX 260 SLI.

Dual processor though isn't it? I was under the assumption that it worked kinda like SLI but on a single card - and therefore SLI support had to be coded into the game/program.  In any case - i usually hate those types of card for their heat/power consumption and noise.  Anyway sorry for OT back to LCD monitors!
*
Yup, it's dual processor under a single PCB these days biggrin.gif However it costs a bomb and not cheap at all (for a GTX295).

Accutally does this so high end staff really needed in our life??

It only draws plenty of power under full load and it's the same for all graphics card biggrin.gif Actually it's really personal preference and some people likes PC stuffs so they don't mind at all smile.gif

if compare side by side maybe got 2-3fps behind..
but if use the lcd alone not notice.. some don't even know..

since 8ms lcd.. already 'safe' with that prob.. now should less than that and perform better..
*
Your eyes won't be able to tell 2-3FPS difference smile.gif That wouldn't be much of a concern I guess as long as the LCD doesn't have ghosting issues like when it was first introduced.

but i think you can see the different if your screen is big like lcd tv.

I seriously don't think so unless someone has bionic eyes laugh.gif Normal graphics in games would also fluctuate so seriously, you really wouldn't be able to tell. Unless we're talking about blank black screen or ghosting then yes, we'll be pissed at it biggrin.gif
