fren N6000 is not good at all la... it is good for normal driving, budget wise i would still prefer HankookV12...
what is your preference on tires choice??? Handling, Comfort, Noise??? lastly your size...

if you want silent tires then skip the directional type... Maxxis i-Pro, Hankook V12, Kumho ESPT, Yokohama S Drive, Toyo T1R and some others directional tires is not meant to be quiet smile.gif
if you want quiet try out Michelin PS3, Bridgestone RE001 for UHP tires... but comfortness is not that good...
if you want comfort then Bridgestone GR90, Goodyear Assurance, Yokohama C Drives, Toyo DRB... these are comfort tires but grip is not as good as PS3 and RE001...
what i your size???

N6000 is enough for normal driving only.
Noise wise more or less the same.
Handling & durable is my choice when come to choosing tyres.
i will give a try on hankook v12 next round since u strongly recommended.
i'm using 205/45/16

E spec means 175/65 R14... so similar as Myvi...

google out for the info...
185 = width
60 = width x60% (sidewall thickness
R14 = rim size in inches...

Ehehee..sorry just found out the VIOS is G spec, so it is 185/60/R15 , so just change tire will be good enough? now the tire is ori 1 and run for almost 10k only =)

well V12 has softer sidewall if you dont mind... it matches right with my old toy's hard suspension setup, using 195/50 R15... it does not take off much of the comfort of ori 185/60 R14 that i used previously... but the grip is good, almost matched with Michelin PP2, although it is not as good as PP2 but really worth the amount you pay for...
for you size it should cost you less than RM300...

well C Drive will be good but skip A Drive R1, AR01 only for fun only... what is your priority??? handling comfort or noise???
you have RE001, S Drive, Toyo T1R or DRB and some others too...

yes like Eric said... 195/55 R15 is your choice... smile.gif
look for PS3 if you are willing to pay around RM270/pc... improves the handling confident you need on Vios... smile.gif

hmm.gif all the while i thought comfort = silent? not ar... laugh.gif coz i wan is comfort + silent nod.gif nod.gif i thought both should be related to each other...
I was being offered PS3 for 215/45/17 for rm455/pcs. but that was too over my budget liao... smile.gif
so thinking of taking the V12 or N8000. as some shop claimed that V12 is not so good nia yet expensive.... laugh.gif as recomemnd me to take the Sime/Dunlop one with cheaper price, and i do expect the grip is not as good alr... coz of the price... since i just use for very damm normal driving only...

muahaha... tell him wanna try with my old toy... heavy car...
they wanna sell off their tires only... really if for me to choose Dunlop D01, Yokohama C Drive or others premium/performance tires by our local manufacturer i rather take Hankook V12... although it's side wall is a lil too soft for some ppl but for my hard suspension ride it makes a good combination... my ride felt smoother on small humps and bump the ride quality is not that harsh... even i upgrade from 185/60 R14 to 195/50 R15 i do not really feel the difference on ride comfort although lower profile on 15" rims...

Comfort is depend on the tire sidewall, some hard some soft... V12 is soft so does Toyo T1R and DRB... those 3 has softer sidewall it is good for those ppl wanna have better comfort on lower profile tires but between the 3 V12 is the cheapest and it's grip in wet and dry is comparable with the other 2... then u have harder sidewall like Bridgestone RE001, Yokohama S Drive, Michelin PP2 (replaced by PS3)... these tires is having harder sidewall tires but it is good for those have softer suspension setup coz it's give you back the handling feel that you need, but you will have to bear with the less comfort...

well as i said... depends on your preference.... try GY F1 Asymmetric or N8000... smile.gif

well the grip is totally different... the ones that we provide to you is more on performance range... if you really want comfort and quiet tires you might be interested on Toyo C1S, Michelin Primacy LC or even Goodyear F1 Asy...
F1 Asy is a good tires which falls higher in the range... but it should be priced below RM400 which is cheaper than others... smile.gif

Recent Price List from AutoWorld Forum...

215/45R17
Federal 595 Evo - RM 285 GoodWood Tyre Service, Klang (Mar 10)
Goodyear F1 Asy - RM380 Quicksave (Feb 10)
Goodyear RS02 (Japan) - RM368 Quicksave (Apr 10)
Hankook V12 - RM330 Teoh Brothers Bayu Tinggi Klang (May 10)
Maxxis i-Pro - RM320 PJ Old Town (Jun 10)
Michelin PS3 - RM450 Quicksave (Jul 10)
Michelin PS3 - RM440 Hin Leong Kedai Papan Klang (Sep 10)
Yokohama A Drive R1 - RM320 Hup Yik Tyre - Ipoh (Feb 10)
Dunlop Veuro VE302 (Japan) - RM425 Jooi Seng, Klang (Nov'10)

please provide the Dunlop model then only can compare...
it depends what category of tires do you want to use... because Comfort and Quiet tires also have 2~3 range sometimes...

Hankook V12 is good for normal use but it is not that quiet... preferably you try N8000...

Same range of tires you have different characteristic too... even some performance tires is cheap but of course in return the wet performance is poor or u need to sacrifice on others performance (noisy, comfort or thread wear)..

I read from you post is you need a comfort and quiet tire for 215/45 R17 which is below RM400... am i correct?
GY F1 Asy should be below RM400, N8000 also below that...

haha you might need to skip AD08, should be priced around RM350~400... which is well over the Performance category price for that size... RE001 should be around PS3 price around RM250~300...
so for that i prefer to get PS3 between the 2...
PS3 has better threadwear rating too 320 vs RE001 (should be below 250)...
PS3 has better traction rating AA for PS3 and A for RE001... traction rating is determine by the stopping/braking distance in wet condition, it is a international standard...

hm..why la they discontinue the ad07?????
Btw, how is the threadwear for ad08?

based on your statement, the re001 performs poorer in wet as compared to PS3, am I right?

Btw, threadwear under 250 means can last how many KMs if driving at above average speed and ocassional all out driving?

as i heard spirited drive will only last not more than 20k km for RE001 while PS3 also around 25k km only... on wet performance it is hard to tell sometime as we don not have a standard setup to try both tires... but the traction rating shows the braking distance of RE001 is not as good as PS3 thats all... I'm using PS3 now but have not try out RE001 yet... that is because i need a good tires which i can use in extreme wet condition and Michelin tires is known of its capability in those extreme wet condition...
but if you need a weekend tires then it might be different... RE001 might suits you...

if not why don you try Toyo R888 or Federal RSR this 2 is similar like AD08... fun to drive in dry but need to becareful in wet...
