QUOTE(rosihan @ May 29 2009, 02:33 PM) in case you guys missed it........![]() HD4770 and HD4830 is pretty close to HD4850, look at the HD4830 and HD4770 crossfire setup - matches the HD4890! QUOTE(8tvt @ May 29 2009, 08:42 AM) 4870 512mb will be ok.. unless >20reso that's generalization - many games actually work fine with HD4870 on >20" reso. heck if you go by inches, it's not accurate either cos 22" also 1680x1050. some 21.5 are 1920x1080.This post has been edited by goldfries: May 29 2009, 03:55 PM |

QUOTE(8tvt @ May 29 2009, 04:05 PM) k. like that then most cards also cannot la.logical thinking is this. if you spend a lot on monitor, meaning the reso is high. then the graphic setup will also have to scale the same way in cost to achieve decent framerate. QUOTE(tech3910 @ May 29 2009, 04:05 PM) yup - more RAM on higher ranked GPU sure got some advantage wan la. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ May 29 2009, 04:08 PM) if gamer dun mind AA, there is little if not no different between 1GB & 512 version.but again, if user dun mind crank up AA much, better just go for gtx260. 4870 usually dun perform dat well once resolution goes above 1900 * 1200 This post has been edited by tech3910: May 29 2009, 04:12 PM |

You mean 4870 don't perform well at 1900x1200 or higher for the games you play? I only see this problem if the games are optimized for Nvidia hardware.but again, if user dun mind crank up AA much, better just go for gtx260. 4870 usually dun perform dat well once resolution goes above 1900 * 1200 |

QUOTE(chaics85 @ May 29 2009, 01:27 PM) @gto87 Relax Bro. Ok now. If I have this kinda problem. I always check the hardware with my friends PC.thats why i ask la.. why like tat.. my 8500gt run more smooth then this new 4770.. anything related to my mobo or cpu?? anything tat i need to tweak in CCC??? one more issue.. i din get much graphic improvement for GRID, the edges are still not smooth. i feel like playing on my 8500gt only.. BUT the game play is very very smooth lo (super fast loading).. ALL compared with my previous GC. Do you have friends that use a better proc than yours? Why don't you take the card to him and test it. just my 2 cents~ |

seriously i think ATI should not come out with a 512mb edition for 4870...after all this is ATI high end card and should come standard with 1GB instead

My simple experience on those GPU with over 1GB memory are not much diffrent compare with 512MB while using 32bit OS and running on 1920*1200 resolution. But on 64bit OS,it's really Wow~like a race of rabbit and turtle.
Anyway,if u running multiple monitor,it's will reduce ur GPU performance than single monitor as well [attachmentid=994995] This post has been edited by ghost705: May 30 2009, 03:02 PM |

im going to get the powercolor 4770 today, haha
this is my problem and i think this video card maxes out the capability of the computer, lol ![]() its a BTX layout, so dual slot cards will not work, lol ![]() also that the 305w oem dell powersupply is a hassle to replace, lol, next one shall be a high end pc, lol |
