Difference in FPS/price ratio, that's what we all have been referring to. you just don't get it, do you?

You are paying almost extra RM100 to 4850 just for that little 2-3% difference, now if you tell me that is worth it then i end my argument right here.

difference in price does not necessary speaks for the same performance difference....

i agree 2-3% is so little u wont even notice the improvements

seriously i think ATI should not come out with a 512mb edition for 4870...after all this is ATI high end card and should come standard with 1GB instead

below are Snaps of my rig...
i have a feeling tat a new gpu mite fit in just nice thr..

@Kev,
i have tis blue latch which can open up...im nt quiet sure wat function it serves...
wud i be able 2 fit in a gpu?

@wild_card
thx for da info..
i was seriously sweating over tis dvi to hdmi vs hdmi issue
neva really got a chance of comparing to lcds side by side
..
perhaps is it possible if i can leave my old gpu, attach it 2 samsung 22" with dvi and use a new hdmi gpu with da 24" ?
not planning to keep it tat way, just for comparison purpose

i believe that is the XPS 410? very similar to my XPS 420 case...the blue latch can be taken out no worries about it....i fitted a GTX 260 inside this casing....Dell did came out a spec with 8800GTX equipped on that 375Watt PSU so if u are planning to upgrade to 4850 it wont be a problem
PS: Radeon 3800 series cant be compared with 8800 series....8800 is far more powerfull than that even comparable to 4850 and the 4870 and above is to be compared to GTX 260/280...that poster make me LOL

then is 4870 and 4890 having big difference? I think better i wait 5 series, they are rolling out when win7 coming out.
*
there wont be a big difference and u certainly wont even notice the increase in FPS like probably 5 fps maybe?

ATI reference cards are loud and noisy one of the reason why i buy nvidia instead of ATI after the 9800PRO days where ATI performance was superior to Nvidia and not to mention poor power management on ATI side compared to Nvidia cards
