QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Feb 15 2012, 02:23 PM) Few days back my gf's hse key and car key was accidentally locked inside the house... house's spare keys is inside her Viva... Called a "KEY" man to come and unlock the car... it took him less than 2 minutes to open the Viva passenger's side door Well, "key man" is trained to open all sorts of locks, from house to cars.According to him, he can open almost any cars' door... impressive, yet scary I remember many years ago I can open Proton Saga & Wira car doors with the help of a long steel ruler, unless the owner of the cars had put in additional security features. |

QUOTE(camel90 @ Feb 28 2012, 07:32 AM) Has any hardcore viva owner here go a step ahead by installing lighten crank pulley? im currently on works lcp. model i think is either kenari/kelisa as they dont have for viva yet. fit perfect but need to change aircond belt to smaller size to fit the lcphas you ever suffered the so called engine stalled in low rpm due to less intertia? so far havent experience any engine stalling in low rpm.. only experienced engine shaking and feel like gonna stall when engine fully warmed up during low rpm idling. however i suspect is idle timing too low that causes this problem, not to blame the lcp for it. probably need to reset ecu to relearn the idling timing, have not done it yet. will do it today and give feedback again here |

I'll wait for your feedback first. If i can't find the one that made for viva,i may choose the same route as you so far havent experience any engine stalling in low rpm.. only experienced engine shaking and feel like gonna stall when engine fully warmed up during low rpm idling. however i suspect is idle timing too low that causes this problem, not to blame the lcp for it. probably need to reset ecu to relearn the idling timing, have not done it yet. will do it today and give feedback again here Btw, when you said reset ecu, were you talking about disconnect the battery? Anyway, i found some info about LCP. QUOTE Hi, you are confused on the Lightened Crank Pulley. The crank pulley is a round metal piece that powers your cars accesories. Stock pulleys normally contains harmonic dampener that functions as its name which dampens the forces that go towards the pulley. Without this dampener the stock pulley will crack. Crank pulley is not to be confused with the air-con pulley. Changing to a lighter crank pulley will have the same effect as turning your air-con off. It also pushes the power band earlier since your engine do not need to waste additional power to turn the pulley. You release a little more whp so it will not sacrifice top end speed and will be opposite. Engine also revs easier.I myself am running Summit Lightened Crank Pulley for my car but can't find one for the Viva even from Kakimoto. Hope that clears everything up. |

Hope that clears everything up. thats the only way to adjust idle timing. there wont be any lcp available anytime soon, probably not at all. because viva shares same size as kenari and kelisa. this is more like a give and take. u get better low end power & acceleration, but u have to give in to rough idling |
