hi, am new in this section. pls allow me to intro:
- chris
- viva AT EZI - 2007
- green color
- p.j.

Added on February 4, 2012, 8:49 ambrowsed thru some postings:

- headlamps "water/mist" issue: pls check the rubber seal at the rear of the headlamp. the part where u can remove to replace bulbs. in most cases, water goes in from there.

- tyres. this is the most important part of your car. pls avoid using cheapos..
i've tried GY ducaro - normal but not up to my expectations. 2 months i change liao..
now using kumho ku31 - very good on wet/dry.
fyi size is: 165/55/14, got it for rm170 per pc
i want can comment is, this kumho is better than sime/GY/A drive & falken ziex.
falken tyres are only good from 912 onwards. anything below, pls avoid it..

bro, flushing means release radiator water.. normally workshop will know how to do it.
advisable to replace water/coolant at every service interval & it's not costly.. below rm30 - toyota coolant

as for bodyroll, agree tht viva's terrible. i've installed rear anti roll bar & it helps. not necessary must be UR brand.. any brand will do as long as there's something holding both the rear lower arms..

hi sifus,

i want to know if i should change my stock absorbers.. whenever i go pass small potholes and bumps.. i feel like my car is going to fall apart. (basically it's really hard)

what do you think? and which type i should be getting for a viva elite?
*
hi its normal as viva ezi/elite use 14" tyres with low profile tyres.. so u hav to accept it..

the only thing we can do on tyres is to down grade to 13" as its profile will be higher..

Has any hardcore viva owner here go a step ahead by installing lighten crank pulley?

has you ever suffered the so called engine stalled in low rpm due to less intertia?
*
hi i was thinking of installing it too.. but the supplier "close friend" would not recommend me bcoz most of the LCP in the mkt r not design for viva.. they r for kenari/kelisa..
viva is a bit different.. so they may hav side effects later.
so till now i'm still waiting for the actual LCP for viva..

my other car no problem bcoz its design for it.. so other side effects..

to me, if use normal oil or semi-syn, u shld change it at every 5k kms.. not 10k kms as claimed by p2..
they r trying to make maintainance cost low.. but in fact the engine oil cannot last that long..

if u repl timing belt, change the water pump as well.. not too costly n its also about time liao..

as engine oil, any reputable brand will do. since its a small engine, try not to use thick oil.. 10w30, 5w40 is ok..
if can afford, use full-syn..

i use normal tap water.. my radiator n cooling system in tip-top n clean/free from rust.
tip is: flush n replace coolant at every service interval.. this is 1 thing that many owners ignore or neva take note..
