yeah, i think i'm in need for that too. too much long distance and sometimes 130-140kmh on highway makes my engine sounds rougher as day goes by.

ps : i'm almost 73k km now and my next service is 75k km. never once skip service schedule and always did servicing at perodua. lol

My last service was 65k km. My next service is 75k km as per they said. I don't why they drag until 75k km. I'll call them later.

perodua service interval is every 10k km

hmm probably can give it a try on that..
but mine only 50k mileage, wont be expecting too much of improvement compare with 384k mileage car

after resetting ECU car feels abit different in terms of revving. usually when i tekan hard, there is a lag time as gear drops down 1 to accelerate.
now when i tekan, instant acceleration without the 'lag time' of dropping down gear..

probably good also to reset ecu after modding some major parts or when u feel the car is sluggish/out of norm after modding

to me, if use normal oil or semi-syn, u shld change it at every 5k kms.. not 10k kms as claimed by p2..
they r trying to make maintainance cost low.. but in fact the engine oil cannot last that long..

Depend on how the person want to maintain their car. Even the manual booklet saying is every 10,000 KM , I service my car when it reach 5,000 KM or every 3 months.

What engine oil that you use now bro? I'm thinking to use the better ones than those provided by perodua as i'm travelling 130km 5days a week, another 500km every weekend once in 2 weeks. Hahaha.

if u repl timing belt, change the water pump as well.. not too costly n its also about time liao..

as engine oil, any reputable brand will do. since its a small engine, try not to use thick oil.. 10w30, 5w40 is ok..
if can afford, use full-syn..

Why because they involve taking that much of stuff as well? How much is the water pump?

I got the timing belt for 145, changing it will cost 100 for labour...

i use normal tap water.. my radiator n cooling system in tip-top n clean/free from rust.
tip is: flush n replace coolant at every service interval.. this is 1 thing that many owners ignore or neva take note..
