Added on April 10, 2009, 11:57 pm No walk in between that 20 minutes. js continue to jog, but at slower pace. after 20 minutes, if still can jog, just do it. if not, then walk. BUT don't sit down. just continue to walk for at least 5 minutes before sitting down.
Jogging for 20min continuously is too hard for me , even for 8min i think it is really like wanting to die liao. I knew it because the school got test students to run 1.5km during the PJPK lesson. I jog for about 400meter already need to walk for 100m then only start jogging back for 100m.
I knew it because the school field is 200m per round and we have to jog/run for 7.5 rounds.
chill bro. 1st you jog for 200m, then go for fast walk for 20 minutes.

I use cross trainer. I have a friend, 55kg, 163cm, he also likes cross trainer. Level 5 at 60rpm burns about 8Kcal per minute. That will make 480kCal per hour. Perhaps you can give a try 115kg is too heavy to jog. Easiest way is to walk uphill consistently for more than 20 minutes. Student life is muh easier compare to working life dude. Don't find this as excuse. And dont complain about shoe. most of my friends who do regular exercise, they dont freaking care about that. Can wear can ady. We focus on burning fats and improving our body! Jogging is merely a tool for us to achieve our goals only.
i see,i use crosstrainer too crosstrainer is all of those cardio machines,i mostly like one i will try level 5 next time then thx for u suggestion

i used to play barefoot on basketball court (concrete ground) when i was still young (primary school days) everyday, my skin didn't peel off can i can run like others too. But after i stopped for a few years and continue, now i cant do anything barefoot as my skin might peel off.
i dont have any specific shoe for specific purpose, i use a nike free, it's comfortable but provides no support at all to your feet.
I am feeling the ache now after swimming 1km with 3 pack of white rice, i tried swim free style at first but cant even make it a lap initially (have not swim for like 2 years lol) after few more laps i manage to finish a lap with freestyle but with all wrong pose. i use breast stroke as resting in between. And it's odd to swim back stroke as it's difficult to see forward summore doing it in a crowded public pool.

My Dad put me and my sis into training when we were 9 and 11 yo respectively.
Maybe ankles need stretching? Either that or your ankles need strengthening or they were taxed because of high heels or improper posture?
My problem before was the kicking out. I wasn't using tilting my feet enough that I was using the inner side of the feet when pushing my body forward. Kena nag like yell.
Do some water treading, practicing the move. Also, get a kickboard and go a few times just getting your kicks rite, I guess.
yeap my ankle is quite stiff, i cant even sit in a kneeling position ( those Japanese tea ceremony sittings? ) it really hurt. I have a very strong joints, good is that i am not easily injured, bad thing is that it's very stiff =/
Stiff and strong joints will easily hurt when we become old (esp after 50 year old). It's because we are just too old, and our strong joint will become not-so-strong already. Without enough flexibility, a lil more push and we will sprain, haha. Oh well, I am not even 50 year old, but started to have some feel now.

Contrary to what you may think, strong joints doesn't mean bad flexibility. In fact, flexible joints actually help AVOID injuries.
Take two people, one who's flexible and one who's as stiff as a bloody stone with rock hard strong joints and jump on them. The one who's flexible is able to bend and absorb the impact while the rock stiff guy will likely, occur injuries because of the impact. Ever noticed when a weightlifter cleans a weight (gets it from the floor to teh shoulder), they always rebend their knees? This is to absorb the impact from the weight as it "POPS!" out of their shoulder when standing.
You just need to stretch your ankle. Google this. "Tricking stretching" There's a site that teaches a lot of stretching. It's a tricking/free running site but it's got good info. Even free running needs good flexibility. When they jump and land, they always rebound and roll to minimize impact.

Side note : Just pick up another book. "Healthy for Life : Developing Healthy Lifestyle that have a side effect of permanent fat loss" by Dr. Strand and Donna Wallace. Surprisingly, the book is easy to read and apparently using GI index by itself may not be so good. He suggested using another indicator known as Glycemic Load.
Only done 1/4 of the book to read. Looks like a good buy.
Planning what to cook tomorrow - banana nut bread (need to get out and get pecans). Also, maybe another casserole and do a potato soup for Granny (the trick is to add in 1-2 pcs of bacon before blending it).
Also roasting an eggplant later and then add in some homemade tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese in it.
Hmm...and maybe need some cucumber + tomato to make some salsa salad.
Errr...although I should warn you that even though it sounds nice to read here, it doesn't always come out looking nice. LOL!
Added on April 11, 2009, 2:13 pmOh, and recipe books for the cooking tip were :200 budget meals and 200 one pot meals by hamlyn. Both books from local bookstore. RM18.90 each.

Looks nice. Try with grated carrot, slightly different flavour. Boil chicken with thyme or rosemary and pepper.
my lunch is 4 slices of wholemeal bread with microwaved sliced of chicken breast...with wifey-made coffee........that's all........
Sky-Live and RICHard....you two are now like One kati vs 600gramme....You two should just motivate in each and us (all) while executing all your weight loss program.
