QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Jun 30 2009, 01:46 AM) they needed a huge (was it 4?) football field thick dam to shield the radiation. How thick the dam was, its no use when they have a tunnel from the surface leading to NBE-1 that ngam ngam slightly wider than his wingspan , conviniently allowing him to transform into jet mode and fly out using it after he "wakes up" without scratching his wingtips. its like the tunnel was "tailor" made for megatron to escape quickly.

TGV F*CK YOU!!!
You gave us a shorter version of the Transformers2....
My friend went to Cathay Cineplex in CTSQ JB, then he go watch again in TGV Jusco JB....they said as few scenes were cut in TGV...especially the underwater scene.
Can someone confirm the underwater scene Cathay version: 4 Robots went down...after they found Megatron the small one scan him first, then proceed to take parts for one of the robots to repair megatron....then only the small robot use the all sparks on Megatron.
TGV version...the one I saw (my friends also said the same)...after they found Megatron the small robot proceed to use the all sparks.
If its true, I'm never gonna watch anything in TGV again!!

QUOTE(Thunderbolt @ Jun 30 2009, 08:50 AM) If the movie are so bad as the critics have wrote, it wouldn't scored 200 million mark. You may say the sequel rides on the name of the franchise but why so many people ended up watching it few times ? Screw your both nuts for trying to be too big! TF has established fanbase and die-hard fans contributing to the ticket sales.

(remember the robot that was dismembered? ) 5 -1 + 1 = 6. oh yeah!

It wouldn't be much of a scene if the sub-operator went "6 bogeys went into the water. OMG the same number is coming up!!" Michael Bay, do you want my 6-year old cousin to teach you math?? And let's not even get to how short Megatron's journey was from Earth to Mars. Or how the hell his thrusters were powerful enough to escape Earth's gravitational pull. Oh wait, according to some people, we are not supposed to "think". Just "enjoy" the film as "entertainment"

Or how the hell his thrusters were powerful enough to escape Earth's gravitational pull. Transformers are highly sophisticated machinery, and we're talking about the LEADER, whose MAIN alternate mode is an ALIEN-JET. We don't based his thrusters on the "less capable" human-technology thruster. Its like asking why all alients UFO in movies able to escape earth's gravitation pull. They just can, cause they're alien with (assumingly) highly advanced technology than us. There are other stuff worthy of nickpick though

But in this case, even the original cartoon made more sense. Transformers were only able to move to another planet either by 1) Space bridge, or 2) Transformers that can transform into vehicles that can do space travel, like Skylynx and Astrotrain. Even Megatron had to ride Astrotrain, he alone couldn't do it. Oh wait, this is Transformers. Stop thinking, stop thinking.....

If an alien-jet FROM a highly advanced civilisation (compare The Primes ability to build Sun harvester on earth vs prehistoric humans 17000BC), JUST RESURRECTED by allspark (read:Fresh/full of energy) unable to perform interplanetary travel, then it would be more laughable.

Hmm, I watched the first movie again yesterday and noticed:-
There are more robots fighting than ROTF. More of Ironhide, Ratchet and the nasty Decepticons. The only time these Autobots were firing something was from behind the humans in some village in Jordan? Why don't Irohhide, Ratchet get out and take on these Decepticons? Ironhide didn't fight at all in this one! Why hide behind humans? The battle in the woods was over in just minutes. Why did some here says it is very impressive? Why did Bay took out all the cool stuff from the first movie? Overall there seems to be less robots fighting in ROTF?
Come to think of it, reading someone here posting about TGV's shorter version, I remember a few years back watching the Matrix 2 in Ipoh and they actually cut off the entire highway chase scene. I was pretty gutted. Maybe I got the shit version here too,

So the theory in this alternate universe of movie transformers is that some of them are able to travel to space without the need of shuttles. They come as a meteor drop too which in ori is impossible. Never relate them to the ori Transformers as the storyline is already all different. You will get yourself even more dissapointed when associating this movie with the original versions.

Melee battle will only make things worse if u talk about logic. Tanks cant fire if Autobots vs Decepts. So accept is as Humans + Autobots vs Decepts. They are around 13 of them. Remember? Sometimes being coward will let u stay alive - Starscream. The action is good enough for a 2 hour + movie. If its able to last up to 3 hours + like titanic, we might able to see more details from the movie. TGV case, awwww.. never go to TGV anymore unless GSC sold out man.

Titanic is 3 hours + wor. If TF2 is given another 1 hour i guess more details can be display and a better plot. TF has too many expectations from TF fans and they get disappointed because based on their logic the movie shouldn't be like that. It shud be a cartoon type storyline but swapped boxes chars with CGI. Well they are still many "stupid ppl in large quantities (as stated in TF2 vs TS thread)" that loves this movie in which making sure u have TF3 in the future whereby your're STILL going to watch it and feel dissapointed again: This post has been edited by Vinci777: Jun 30 2009, 10:53 AM

Non TF Fanboi reporting in.
I had no expectations, other than the movie would be loud, have lots of exploshuns, and have sweeping camera angles of US military might.
For 2 and a half hours all my senses were pummelled by the sheer impossibility of it all.
Did I enjoy it? Hell yeah. for that period of time I was a boy again, not a 30something cynical a-hole. I was transported back to the exact same freakin mindset I had when I was 7 and watched those autobots for the first time.
The only thing I wanted after all that abuse, was a Saber Rider movie with Ramrod blasting the hell out of a robot beast. And Peter Cullen voicing the transformation.
EDIT
The same night, I watched RockNRolla. Lots of talking in heavy British Accents and an breathless plot. There's a time and place for everything. Departures is next.
