I love NZ, but if you've been to the south island, the scenery in the north island is not as dramatic and won't wow you as much. My focus during my north island trip last year was more on culture and history.

Looks like I have to make the trip to the south island again some time soon.

yes.. due to budget constraint i cant do both north and south hence i will be doing south only laugh.gif sweat.gif

South Island is the best.
Same with other replies here, I think you can skip North Island.
South Island have the best scenery compared to the North.

I disagree that you should skip the north island. Admittedly I do have the budget, but don't let a bunch of pictures limit your chances to explore NZ and the world biggrin.gif Experience it yourself!

I had been exploring NZ in the past & based on my experience, I believe South Island is much better in terms of scenery compared to North Island.
My judgement is not based on pictures taken by others but solely based on my experience being there.
But, it's up to everyone's preferences whether to explore both islands or only the North / South.

Both places that you mention are in the South Island.
Haha. But yeah, too bad AAX didn’t offer flight to NZ anymore. I’ve got flight from KUL to Auckland for less than 1k per person last time but I guess can try more comfortable airlines after this if planning to go NZ again (definitely will come again).

Super video. Did you study media or something?  Great editing in 4mins + video, super clear  thumbup.gif  smile.gif

Did you do campervan or car? Also, which part is  this:

Thanks biggrin.gif

I am a freelance photographer and learning up to shoot video now, so I've been watching a lot of travel video and see how the pro do it.

I did the trip in car (not campervan) coz my wife prefer a proper hotel room with shower & comfy bed. My road trip was mostly in South Island (8 days) and only spent a day in Auckland.

Hi guys,
i plan to bring my baby to NZ next year. By then, he should be at least 1 year and 6 months minimum. When's the time/month that's good for baby?

I remember Jul will be Winter so probably will want to avoid that.

Will anywhere between Mar ~ May good?

Mar - May would be autumn in NZ.
Quite cold but still OK, I guess.
Personally, I'd prefer autumn.

mind you even during autumn it was freezing cold

It was damn cold in Queenstown when i was there in May, even though it was only 2'C

also depends on location, somehow it wasnt that cold in milford compared to queenstown
