Are you able to tick and subscribe to the package? If yes, then better do it.
That package is not offer anymore. Only existing old customers got it.

Hi all,

Just wanna share smtg with all of u.

I got my iphone 4 on 24 Dec 2010. The feeling really cannot be described. Overall, it was happy during the first 2 weeks of use. Before i continue, i subscribed to ivalue1 for 24 months contract and NO installment on the phone.

About 2 weeks later, which is last week (12 Jan 2010), i received a sms from Maxis. Here is the sms:
"Your total usage of RM390.20 has exceeded your limit. Kindly make payment within the next 24 hours to avoid interruption. For details please call 123"

I was like what the hell?? Before i made the call, i'd checked my usage on the phone. Since its a new phone and i was aware of the over-limit-data-usage issue, i always check on the data i have used. Below are the details:
Total calls: 3 hours 45 minutes (i believe its TOTAL, i.e. incoming + outgoing)
Total sms: not recorded, but should be around 50 sms.
Data usage: 510MB (data) and 1675MB (WIFI)

Clearly that i am still within the limit.

I called the 123, what i get its 2 things.
1. I need to wait for my bill to come out then only can find where is the problem.
2. The customer support cannot check the system to find my record.

And the advises given are:
1. Sir, you have settled some amount first, then it will not be barred.
2. The total amount its RM5XX.00, maybe you can pay 50% first.

What the hell?? The system only generate the bill on the billing date with all the records? before the billing date, there is no data recorded?

I have no choice but have to wait for the billing date. I don't really feel like paying it as i did not caused this.

And from last Friday onward, my phone seems like cannot locate the 3G services. I can't help myself to suspect Maxis have locked my 3G. But i am still able to sms and call.

According to the salesperson in Maxis center (Sunway), i only need to pay RM20.00 for every month from 1st to fifth as i have paid the advance payment of RM400.00.

Maxis, the best service provider?? better go to hell.

21st its my billing date, i will try to update here when i finish checking with Maxis Center.

Maxis cheat!!!

I aso got this offer since i use my iPhone 3GS... bcz mine is old line... i use the line for more than 10 years...smile.gif

if you got it!! just subscribe it...

You even can terminate your internet service at ur house.. bcz use internet tethering sometime much more faster...smile.gif

I don't know why some still use Maxis, I had my fuss with them 5 years ago over rm700 which they charge me but I didn't use that in the first place.

After switching to DiGi, things never been more happier. Have to agree DiGi 3G aren't as fast as Maxis at some are some time but still it's usable without any extra charge. Especially with iPhone hidden connection, it feel much more safer than worrying high bill charges.

Hi guys,

Data plan noob here.

Need some help to clarify matters.
I've subscribed to Maxis's RM18/100MB monthly pass on the 23/12/10

So far till date I've used up 93MB.
When I saw my bill today, it seems the 'monthly pass' has not been registered and they are charging me like the following
Edge/3G 934.80
Rebate (100/MB) -726.71

It doesn't make sense, i thought I'm entitled to use 100MB for a month from the date i signed up for the pass (23/12/10 to 23/1/11)

FYI - My bill cycle is every 14 of the month

I've called them up and they said the charges are prorated bla bla bla and said will the pass will only take affect in the next bill cycle. But i still need to pay the ballance RM200++. I was like what???

Do you think I can build up a case with them?

That's why u have to LISTEN..prorated actually have meaning..plz search for my comments previously in this thread(just click on 'show posts by this user only(maderfader)' or search word 'prorate@pro rate)'..its exactly what happened to me..u can try to build up a case with them,but in my opinion you're going to lose(sorry)..n actually,it does make sense

Seems like currently the shocked bill is happen more and more often. Does Maxis aware of this and do they think they should do something on this before all his existing customer help him doing so many free Ads here or facebook.

BTW I am a maxis 10years customer switch to Digi due to iPhone 4 plan is cheaper...so far no regret but as what shoduken I have to admit Maxis line is better geh...

Lodged a case with them yesterday. Complaining that I don't understand the prorated thingy and the operator which I called to activate the pass initially should explain the charges to me beforehand

Today they called me and said will waived the data charges (200+) as I'm a loyal customer to them.

Ain't so bad after all eh Maxis smile.gif

my friend do the same thing, he got charged rm800, he called, and they only rebate him half (he is maxis 10 years user), then next month, he calculate again the usage, he is SURE didn't got over the meter and still being charge again, for another rm700 he didn't use, he called again, the billing have no idea how to check instead they ask him to wait for the bill to come (mm WTF computer system they got? 1980's?), he got very frustrated, he ask for terminations, he didn't paid the remaining as it is not worth it, until now no lawyer letters come (i guess maxis know what happened if he lodge a report to consumers department). now he is using DiGi and show me the bills every month comparing to Maxis, DiGi was the best :-)

Hi all, what is the procedure to upgrade the 3gs old ivalue plan to iphone 4 ivalue plan which is from 500mb free data to 1gb free data? Do i have to pay additional fees for upgrading the plan?

Maxis do send sms reminder twice, once when you reached 800MB and next when you reached 1GB.

I'll switch off data after the latter and subscribe to RM8/day for 500MB package if i need data.

No more BillShock for me after the 1st Prorated Bill.

NO WONDER so its the system failure

My credit limit was changed up to 1500 and i was like WTF for 30mins

I called them and they told me that it was noting

I REALLY HOPE ITS NOTING OR I WILL BE PISSED TO SEE MY NEXT MONTH BILL

How come you can receveive SMS from them ... i used like 2GB from my iphone and they do not even tell me

i am a maxis post paid user, RM 50 monthly plan.

in my case, i have been charge for rm300 ++ wt* !..it happened 2 months ago...its all bcoz i took the 1 monthly 100MB internet (RM 18) ( thats the 1st and the last for me !!!!!!!)

i start to use it for 3 days (fb,browsing,d/load some apps and i admit i try to use the youtube once but stop immediately bcoz its super slow)

suddenly, my phone got barred , i felt weird and try to check the balance.....i jumped of my seat and coudlnt believe my eyes when i saw the bill !

i called up the SC and the told me becoz i already using over the 100MB and they charged my data charge as "per use" basis....LOL

it would be great if the send me a message or notification if i already exceed the quota,then i just could stop browsing and surfing the net...

call me stupid, what just happened is history.this motnh will be the last day of myself with maxis (after 9 years)...thats it i have enuf !

Im using postpaid, how do I limit the usage? I mean if I want them to stop the service if I ever exceed RM200 of usage? Can I do that?
