@PhantomAssasin this problem happens cos your telco thinks its OK to charge you extra for extra usage, and you disagree. so either you buy shares and take over the company, or pay up.

just a quick question, for u guys who using unlimited data plan (eg. Digi), do u guys let the 'cellular data' on all the time even when theres wifi?

cuz im just abit confuse how does the iphone select cellular data or wifi if we on both at the same time? i juz find it a little hassle to switch the data on & off when theres wifi just to safe on the 1gb quota tongue.gif

No need to switch off as you would see the wifi symbol next to telco logo if connected to wifi!

I will never, never have an account with Maxis. After a bad experience 5 years ago, I consider them "the cheating people company". They will make "mistakes" in their bills which I believe are intentional. How come the mistakes never favour the user, always favour Maxis?

MCMC should regulate this "cheating people company." There is no logic that users cannot check their data usage before the bill comes out. It's like saying your electric meter can only tell you your consumption at the end of the month and only then. Is Maxis as a technology driven company saying that they can't do it? Or they won't allow users to check usage for their own obvious reason?

Just port to Digi and avoid all the ishock from Maxis.

agree so much with the bold part.

really someone must create a big hoo haa, press report and such, with signatures to sue them

but typical malaysians attitude is tidak apa, after sometime they forget it

PS: i still using maxis is because i am the main line, my mum is the sub line. we were told that we can't port 2 numbers together to it . we want to maintain our numbers since it been yearssss we using it

yes.. coz i think the iphone will auto use wifi when its available instead of cellular data...

coz i was browsing appstore/safari while on wifi and the data counter did't change.. and all the while my 3G cell data is turned on too

i open safari and it show out " you not connected to internet....."
izzit i need to activate something first?

go to settings and turn on airplane mode until the carrier option in the settings menu disappears. and then turn airplane mode back off again. it resets the connection. dunno if it'd work for you but its worth a try.

any1 having problem tethering with maxis?

Ive been tethering and it was fine.. until few days back..

as usual i select tethering from the iphone and connect the usb,
im able to surf for few mins and then the connection just hangs... no in out data...

but i still can surf like normal on the iphone...

this is for telecommunication .. how about for credit card? I kene once .. close card but they still allow auto debit .. no 1 call me my card cannot be closed .. I just know when I check the statement after 3 months! ..

try to power off n power on ur ip4.
it should work then icon_rolleyes.gif

if not, u need to call digi center

check whether the 3g icon appeared next to your carrier logo..if not appear '3G',then there's no 3g coverage in that area..if it appears n still cant connect,u need to call your service provider's customer service..could be server is down for a moment

Need some help here ,
I'm on the 1GB data plan for maxis.

Checked iPhone4 usage Sent: 44mb , Received 776mb last reset ( 20/12/2010 )
Checked Unbilled RM513.66 (as of 10/01/2011 10AM)
Checked Current and Outstanding balance : Current Bill (due date) = RM106.37 (09/01/2011)
and oh ya...my iP4 is Jb-ed

My line is barred already. What should I do right now ?
