Digi is better in this respect, it actually tells you when your limit is up ...and my usage is already 2 GB as recorded in my iphone. Does it means Digi gives me more than the promised 1 GB???

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Nov 5 2010, 05:06 PM) The point is simply you can still surf the net while not worrying of Super High Bill that may faint you at the end of the month. What is the point of having high speed while have to use it sparingly (was was) If like me already exceeds 1G at the middle of the month, the bill could be = RM0.05/10 KB = RM 5.00/1000KB = RM 5000.00/1 GB... So high the bill .. Install one app roughly 10 MB = RM 50.00, if install 10 app, your bill will shoot up to RM 500.00. Just imagine the speed of maxis of 3.6 Mb/s...which tell you potentially 360 KB/s = RM 1.80/s.(Amended) Dangerous This post has been edited by cy97: Nov 5 2010, 06:41 PM |

QUOTE(baretta @ Nov 6 2010, 01:36 PM) The point is u still can use whatsapp on the move, receive email, can ym, can browse fB......without extra charge. To make it even sweeter Digi give u full speed back after mid night even u have pass the limit This post has been edited by cy97: Nov 6 2010, 02:28 PM |

QUOTE(attentional @ Nov 6 2010, 03:04 PM) There's always something for everybody la... no such thing as this telco better that telco better. It might be better for you but it won't be better for others. For instance your case you use a lot of data therefore you stick with DiGi. Good for you. But for me, I use a lot of internet as well, and speed is my concern. Therefore I stick with Maxis. 1GB is more than enough for me, because when I'm at work and home, there's full WiFi coverage. I only use the 3G data service when I'm outside at places where there's no WiFi coverage, and my monthly usage never exceed 200MB. That's why I say there's always something for everyone. Totally agree. |

QUOTE(sai86 @ Nov 9 2010, 08:18 PM) I'm on digi rm63 plan, if i turn on d "cellular data" and "Enable 3G" for 24/7, will i get additional charge? since digi said no extra charge if quota is over (reduce speed only), hence there should not be a GPRS charge, right? Even you have exceeded the data quota allocated, you will still get back full speed during off peak hour ( 8pm to 8 am ) |

QUOTE(palmforest @ Nov 16 2010, 04:11 PM) i'm on idigi 88 plan n i cant check my internet usage so far for this month. even i check in unbilled transaction and ask them using D'Chat also no help. anyone here know how to check what is the bandwidth usage that i have used so far? Try using speedtest to check yr speed during office hr, if yr speed more than 0.5 mbps yr hv not reach the data limit , else u already reach. Anyway u should received SMS informing u when u hit the limit . |

QUOTE(euniceyew @ Dec 7 2010, 01:34 PM) Hi i just got my iphone yesterday under maxis ivalue 1. It is really pathetic to hv bought a smart phone but sign up to wrong telco. Smart phone becomes not so smart after all. Any expert can guide me? i closed off my 3g, celullar and wifi. But the usage for data is still increasing, although in a very little pace. Can i know what are the applications to look at which cause this movement? i have turn off all notifications as well. I saw from previous thread that somebody commented they might be some background programme which is running. But i cant figure out what to close off again. Thanks |

Looks like we are hearing the same angry stories over n over again but sadly there are still a bunch of Maxis supporter whom still insist they PAY Maxis for their excellent coverage in 3G !

I think there is only two possibilities, you either is the fan boy of maxis or you work for maxis or you are the relative of Ananda!
It is not the first month n second month issue. The issue is simply the pricing strategy this greedy telco adopted is simply unscrupulous and tricky! How would customer know about billing cycle n all these ? It is high time for you victims to act together to get MMC to come out with some sort of guideline to protect consumer! THE ESSENCE IS THE CONSUMERS SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED IN THE DARK! THEY SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT WARNINGS GIVEN ON WHAT THEY CONSUMES! |
