i'm not sure how maxis billing system works but.. it seems to record data usage either 10/5sen for 10KB basis.. before the end of the billing cycle where plan discounts/adjustments will be applied to the bill.. you may easily have oledi go over the credit limit of your account and thus is suspended b4 reaching the billing cycle.

eg.. imagine 1GB plan for ivalue100

RM5.12 per MB or RM5242.88 per GB @ 5sen per 10KB , not inclusive calls/sms/etc yet

am i rite? so maxis system will automatically barred you based on the credit limit assigned because the rebate/adjustment calculations is onli done at the end of the billing cycle but b4 that unbilled usage oledi gone over the credit limit

so..am i correct to say that there maybe a flaw in their system?

After 3 months using DiGi iP4 package, I only pay RM62.40 every month (with the 5% tax of course...). Waitin for Celcom to counter attack this FLAT rate per month... Maxis is totally not in this league...

And that is still lower than the ASTRO monthly bill....

guys. just got my phone unlocked aswell.

im currently using an iphone n a hotlink prepaid. saw the RM68 for 500mb thing.

if i finish that, would they charge me for extras like any of u guys are complaining about? if its like that then im stucked in using wifi.

i using maxis value1 plan for 3 month already , no face any problem yet , really wonder why u guys can face so many problem heavy download? lol.....

I was quite surprise,last 2 days ago I complained that my bill was so sky high.. today I look back .. from RM200++ went back to RM30++ ... hmm , its that mean I saw some improvement from maxis ?

whye everyone change to digi and not celcom? they offer mobile internet plans too? i think about rm38 a month for 1gb plan..i'm not sure..

Celcom already got its mobile data plan.
RM28 per month 300mb quota
RM38 per month 1gb quota

You need to turn off click"X" on the safari tabs, so tht it doesnt run all the time, if it keeps running, confirm habis data transfer.

Me too, 3 months using iphone with iValue1, so far no billing problem.. and i'm constantly on the internet except for youtbe (use it only on Wifi).
I track my data usage using iDataUsage app so i'm aware of how much data i have left..

Fu**k i kena oready. Last month RM2xx data usage...i am not on any data plans, i don't use 3G for internet and only WIFI occasionally. Usually my bill is around RM100 only. Argue with them but no use, in the end, i thought maybe i did accidentally on the data charges or something. So in the end, i paid up. But f***...this month...again!! RM3xx (RM250 for 27MB of data!!)!! Now i am totally pissed off, i am not gonna pay them for the data charges. Gonna see this to the end. I will complain to MCMC and see this to the end and go to court if i have to!!!

This is f*** daylight robbery!!! Now i wait for them to send me details of the data usage. Later i am going to terminate the line and switch to DIGI!

PS: And i am not even using iPhone!!!

btw, just made an official complaint to MCMC via online. LET'S FIGHT IT OUT MAXIS!!

We have warn you guys over n over again n yet nobody seem to take it seriously until you get it . There are far more Maxis victims out there that have to bear with these extreme high data charges ! I REPEAT THE PROBLEM IS NOT WITH US AS USERS BUT RATHER THE UNSCRUPULOUS PRICING BY MAXIS!

it's very easy to exceed 1MB.
