actually the only complain about maxis bills for me is that we cant see what we're using until the end of the bill cycle. which really pissed me off...

Agreed.. you have to wait if they bar your line 3 to 4 days before the billing circle. otherwise, they ask you to pay first then reactivate your line. crazy policies.

I received a text just now when i was sleeping. I was freaked up that i dont know where i spend that much of money, i checked my data usage and it showns below


Cellular Network Data
Sent -43.2mb
Received - 239mb

Last reset: never.


Just pissed that i never over use and why my bill is like that?

**i very rare make calls and most of the time i just sms, dont think the smses will reach the amount

call rate 12 sen/min <-- after u finish ur 667min
sms 10 sen/SMS to any network


667 x 0.15 sen = RM100.05 / another RM55 = ur data + sms + mms
data/sms/mms is not included the UNBILL amount , the unbill amount is only ur CALL time , which mean ur UNBILL amount can't exceed RM100 when u check with *100# or www.maxis.com.my , it will be RM55 + ur unbill amount = Total of the bill u need to pay on the month happy.gif


For ivalue1 RM100/month , ur limit for unbill amount is RM50 only NOT RM100 , if over mean ur bill will come with DATA charge = RM50 + unbill amount biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

ivalue 2 calls are actually rated at 12 sen, not 15 sens as u calculated..

i value 2 follows the ivalue plus 80

i was told when collecting the iphone that ivalue 2 consists of value plan 80 + maxis mobile internet package monthly rm75.. = rm155

call plan all follow value 80 = 12 sen to all
internet package follow actually 78 package, but he said with iphone package, only pay 75 some more upgraded from 1.5 to 2gb data..

that was what i was told..

hi, sidetrack a little. my apology if this has been asked & answered before.
whenever i need to go online, i have to turn on both 'Enable 3G' and 'Cellular Data'. i was demonstrated by two of my friends, just need to on 'Cellular Data', and both their iphone works just fine. i tried the same, and upper bar shows 'E', but i just couldn't get the Internet connection. anyone care to shed some lights?

can someone teach me how to calculate the bills.this is my first time using bills,usually use prepaid .

i hve just got the bills,1st time is -ve .now i hve 2nd bill,rm 80 need to paid.

im a bit confused here bcause im using ivalue 1 which is free 1gb internet 3g(wifi is free right?) ,300min calls,300sms right ?

in 3g,i have use total in and out not over 500mb yet. calls i don't think i have reach 300min .300sms hurm,,maybe 200+sms

i say that calls and sms a bit more bcause calling/sms other telco

Yeah had the problem. My iPhone show around 2gb of data usage inclusive tethering. But celcom said I use more than 5gb. Not sure which is right.

When come to this kind of dispute the TELCO always win. Thus the best bet is to go for an unlimited data plan! hmm.gif

hey urm just wanna ask, anyone out there experiencing interupted 3g excess with maxis these days. my iPhone sometimes cant detect a 3g connection. after locking and unlocking it, its there. hmm.gif

if its only 'E' appeared,it means that there's no 3G connection in that area..so,find another spot..hope this helps

I dont understand what's the problem u're trying to say..ivalue 1 on maxis is rm100 per month,the amount to be paid is well below than expected..rm100 must be minus rm40 for the first 5 months(coz of the rm200 u paid in advance)..then,plus any excess usage(most likely calls n sms/mms..it all showed in the bill

For people who travel and roam all the time, please be very careful with the Unlimited Data roaming RM38 a day package being offered by Maxis. I was billed a total of RM22,000 from Maxis recently for data usage abroad. Long story short, i subscribed and was on the plan for first 2 days when i was in HK. After the 3rd day i was mysteriously off the unlimited data plan and was using the regular data roaming without my knowledge. Best of all in my bill, it shows that i was on the data unlimited plan for first 2 days and i was charged RM38 but after the 2nd day the data usage came up to RM11,000 plus. Then it happened again for the month of Dec whereby i mysteriously have RM10,000 unbilled amount waiting to be billed on the next bill cycle. Best of all the first bill was already credited to my credit card. I dont know how else i can explain this to the incompetent Maxis staff that ' Hey its your billing systems error so man up and take the charges off my bill'. This really ruined an otherwise pleasant Christmas and New Year for me.

I will definitely change provider once this issue is resolved. Really pissed off right now. Paying for other people's mistake. vmad.gif

What have you done to rectify the issue? I will make as many reports as i can until they resolve this for me. Its just ridiculous. I m appalled by the level of service Maxis is dishing out to us. Problem is that i have to be up and at the maxis center before they open in order to be the first few in line otherwise its hours of waiting before you get to your turn. Sigh...

after a few hours it turns to normal... but on 19th my unamount bill was at rm400++ and i was barred. i was so pissed off and call the CS and she can only unbar my number and cut my bill on 21st. still pissed, i wrote an email to maxis complaining about this high surge of mine.
that afternoon Maxis representative called me and asking about the situation. i told her and express my dissatisfation to their system which she agreed. we talked about half hour regarding the issues and promised to settle this as soon as possible.
just today i checked my unbilled amount and voila.... it turns to rm70 again....

unbarred the line for me wont settle the cause of the matter. im still waiting for my bills at the maxis portal.

the other thing about maxis billing which really pissed me off is the fact that they charge our usage 1st and at the end of the bill cycle only then they'll calculate how much the actual bill is...
so imagine if i already use 700mb which i am now in iValue2 which means im entitled for a free 2gb usage permonth and they charge me on normal charge.... its freaking crazy man.....

just freaking mad i tell ya

Looks like we are hearing the same angry stories over n over again but sadly there are still a bunch of Maxis supporter whom still insist they PAY Maxis for their excellent coverage in 3G !

I have made many calls and made trips to Maxis center but to no avail. The issue is still unresolved even after i have proven them wrong as indicated by my recent bill. Its really a pain for me to have to call up and unbar the line after a few days use. I have better use of my time than to call up and repeat my predicament every single time. I m seriously furious and am contemplating whether i should report this to consumer rights group. This is getting out of hand and i m sick of having to argue with incompetent Maxis staff's every time. Although i m not the one paying for the bill but i m still answerable to the high usage cost of my mobile.

Im not biased and i do not take sides and im not a maxis supporter in any way. Its just very unnerving to see this happen to so many people. Frankly i want to make a switch but i m stuck right now until the issue has been resolved. I want to retain my number as i dont want to send notices to everyone informing a change of number.
