Same scenario here my data usage is pretty similar on my iPhone and on my Maxis bill. Will continue to monitor the next bills.

Anybody experienced this can help?? If not, where can I seek help?

What is there to bluff? There are similar situations but I am looking for answers. What's the use of similar situations without answers? I wan to know what caused it. If you have any solutions, please share otherwise, don't just lazily call people lazy without understanding what people want first. smile.gif

I also hit the same situation. Sunday night i checked mine usage received less than 1MB sent also less than 2MB. I only turn on the 3G and data when I used. However yesterday night, without uploading anything just go through the eBuddy n FB for less than 20 minutes. Suddenly it jump to 4gb for both send and received. Shocked !!!!
I called Maxis center, the operator said cannot check the usage only can check whether my unbilled amount is RM250+ as 8GB already exceed my 1GB plan.
How come Digi can check Maxis cannot check? very disappointed with their service.

they will say they only can check for you when your statement arrives, probably the 2nd time their server got problem. I used to encounter this issue too.

Maxis CS called me yesterday and said that the Iphone's cellular/mobile data record is incorrect. We cant base on that to claim that Maxis overcharges.

I noticed that the iDataUsage's & the phone's records are almost the same. So iDataUsage's record is incorrect too?

Mayb Maxis should tell us an App which is CORRECT then??? NO??

So do you know what cause the issue? From what I have gathered so far, people are just saying they are facing the same issue and calls to Maxis or Digi did not help. I don't see any solution or reason for this problem.

As long as Maxis/DiGi are not charging you for 4GB sent and received - its quite obvious the problem lies within your iPhone.

Maybe try doing a fresh restore to see if the problem repeats it self.

Talk time I think you are able to check via *100#

However data usage need to wait for your bill to arrive.

no one go to MCMC,
we just here to talk nut.
Maxis data charges trap already start from iphone 3 generation,
complain since 2 years ago,
no progress

About the iphone data usage and maxis billing,
i am network engineer can answer you guys what is happening
maxis playing trick to get higher data usage count by increase 1kb to 10kb block
maxis internal show revenue on pay per use data charges shoot up to 30-40% after they change the charging block, so more 'so.high' like us more easy to hit the RM250 trap
(note: 16/8/2010 is the date they start changing data block)

maybe we can collect all our over charges bill and show them to najib or some other high ranking official
i always believe maxis cant buy off najib, najib is clean !!!!
but i not trusting people below him, specially MCMC
always believe MCMC people been pay by Maxis management to keep the this trap open.

arghhhhh .. today i got HIGH bill from maxis... total about 598!!!!!!!!!!! wahhhh so high even inever used data for 1 month .. i off the service already.. off 3g, off cellular data.. how come when the bill came got high data usage.. i only use when got WIFI coverage... arghhhh.. my bill same amount for car payment..

i used ip4 ivalue1
wanna off contact w maxis.. wanna used another telco.. any suggestion?? b4 this my monthly usage abot rm <120 only

took up ivalue1 on 27/9 and im not supposed to use more than 500Mb till 16/10. what a nonsense reason by maxis. somemore ask me to pay the extra charges due to exceeding allocated data. sorry kiss my ass i wont pay even single cent. total data usage on bill is 782,XXXMb and where got i exceed 1gb.

they keep repeating that i was only able to use the data around 500mb and 1gb is valid for next month. how on earth should i know nobody mention that thing to me.

after 30-45 mins with questions and answers finally they waived the charged amount, i pay 106 only from total 227.

I complained to MCMC but they r useless la. They just sent me an email to inform me that my complaints have been forwarded to Maxis.

We oledi have post office here, do we still need MCMC as a postman??!!!!

I got conned by Maxis the same way .
They will pro-rata the data plan with your billing cycle , meaning if you have 15 days till your billing date , you can only use about half of your available data (500mb) , if it's 10 days , then it's about 310MB
At least they warned you , I got abill for Rm155 + Rm280 extra for over limit data and SMS vmad.gif
