last sunday i checked my unbill amount was rm120 plus
today check again rm391 for just my number..
what the hell possible my bill suddenly shoot so high with my 815mb only
today is my billing date im just gonna wait the bill come and fxxk maxis gao gao for nonsense billing again..

I would like to suggest that we all bring our bills to one of the Maxis Centre and make complaints on the same time and date.

At least we can make the rest of those who r going to sign up with Maxis aware of the tricks which Maxis is playing since few years ago!

should i get the digi plan or maxis iphone plan? from what i read maxis got a lot of hidden charges.but if digi prob for me as i'm staying in sarawak.what do u guys suggest?

no point simply saying "sarawak". ask people at the specific places u frequent (work/college, ur home, favourite lepak place, etc) how's the digi 3g performance there. im in miri, n digi 3g is pretty good at town. so if i ask "im from miri, is digi 3g good?" then most people will say YES. but then my home and my campus have no digi 3g coverage while maxis' is very good, so my choice is pretty much clear already tongue.gif

of course, generally maxis coverage is btter than digi in sarawak. but im not surprised if some places got digi 3g but maxis dun have

just getting hold of my 1st bill.... a couple of things and terms i dont understand but other than that.... i guess its all good... i was charge around rm88++ for 2 weeks of usage....

by the looks of the bill they already deduct the data but only the calls they still charge (around rm8++) but i do wonder since i got free call time and i didnt exceed the time limit.... (i am on ivalue2 which means i have 667minutes free calls to any telco...) but why still charge me?

other than that, i think its all ok on my side...

Maxis recently switch the data charging block to 10KB while they say is industry standard
your data usage will be around 10-25% higher then previous month, depends on the kind of usage u use,
so when you iphone show 800mb, dont surprise maxis record 1GB

The rest of the world still using 1kb/block
where the hell is the industry standard come from
MCMC just let it pass on this kind of con,
another prove of MCMC might be buy off by Maxis management

Najib is our only hope, protect malaysia to get cheaper internet charges is gov vision,
people below him just try to collect $$ by cheaper on advertise , but allow Maxis cheat people on another way.
so can simply estimate why after few years MCMC still keep quite about this.
must be paid in someway
if not MCMC better tell why

I don't work for maxis. I just signed up for I value 1 with iPhone 4. The maxis rep did informed me about the pro rate data usage cycle. There was no confusions at all. I just received my first bill and everything is fine.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope my future bills stay normal. Cheers.

in my case if maxis explain to me earlier i would easily go swap, pay and done thats it. no question ask.

billing cyle start on 16th, iphone4 launched on 27th.pro rata basis not my concern anyway. they better launching on 17th instead of 27th. CS explain its not their things to launching when and when LOL.

at least what they can do,

CS- sir, since u opted to sign ivalue1, kindly u need to pay attention and my advise is ur usage should not exceeding bla bla bla. due to incomplete cycle of 1 month. the policy said 1Gb allocation for 1 month BUT now is 27th and till next 16th it will be 19 days so by rights u may use ur data for only XXX,XXXMb.


me- sure. i will closely monitor my usages then. thank you.



but that day they waived the charges so i kinda thank you also to them. laugh.gif

My unbilled amount shot up around 300+ in 2 days... but when the bill came and I studied everything, it was OK. Ard RM110+ for iValue1 (extra charges from pervious plan carried forward).

Guys...just force the CS guys to make official complaint...my wife's case settled already after they create a complain and forward it to billing dept..after a week or so got sms said that it's now ok n yes it's OK for now..no more shocking bills.

How? I complained to MCMC. They checked and told me tat their record is correct. Ask me to pay!
They hv never informed me abt the prorata and warn me when i hv reached 80% or 90% of the data usage.

read through most of the post here.. i found out that most of em' are maxis users.. not stating that its the worst telco.. but if u look back all the post.. maxis users dominate the complaints here..

must be something wrong.. either the telco or the user..

Yeap! Until Maxis follows DiGi and speed throttle when the user exceeds the limit they are gonna get plenty of complaints.

However doubt Maxis will do anything for now as they are happily milking away.

Not just the billing issues, Maxis should stabilize their download and upload speed as well. For my case, its really a huge difference when I use it in the day and at night, in KL and in Subang/Sunway area. Is it fine if Maxis charge you so much but you're not getting the speed that was claimed?

Turns out that it doesn't perform like it's the best telco. Actually I've been wondering how did an iPhone user get up to 800MB per month? Just don't reach the boundary and you're safe from shocking bills.
