but I am on Maxis unlimited data plan RM99

Yours is a different case. What I mean is, how can a user reach up to 800MB EVERY MONTH? Even heavy users (Safari, Facebook, Twitter, News, update apps, etc.) won't reach that much. Unless they tether.

i just received my itemised billing by email.

seem like i didn not exceed my data usage but it doesn't show how much data was used!

I would like to know how much i use, means every month gotta call them and ask? Zzz..


Edit: I can see my data charges is RM9.55

So how do I do the maths for it?

you miss out youtube although youtube app from iphone only can stream low res, but stream from web app can be high quality, it can be GB in a day

Just received my bill today, wanna confirm with those that already did too.
I got charged at other services for 50 bucks on the contract extension admin fee, was a 3Gs ivalue user, so is this normal? (I remember seeing some pic about the admin fee for the contract extension but during the day I collect my phone, the representative didn't inform me about this)

I seldom stream YouTube videos on my phone. Either I download the videos using the Downloads app and watch them when they are all downloaded, or I open in tabs on my laptop and watch them in one shot. More fun!

Recently, Maxis in Bukit Mertajam, Penang kinda unstable. At first i was on 3g, seconds later im on GPRS!! Does anyone felt the same?

got a shock today when my line was suddenly barred..
checked unbilled usage rm600++ .. WTF?!
5 days ago was just at rm140+..
barely used data for anything..
anyone facing the same problem?
i'm waiting for my bill now .. cycle cut on 24th..

Wow! What plan are you on? Shouldn't be exploding but notice this always happens to Maxis subscribers.

When I download, I download using WiFi. Why use 3G when there's WiFi right? Not like Maxis's speed is always that stable even it's higher. Plus, the latency is so high, it takes so long to connect. The ping is always at least 100-200. Sigh!

There's no apps to check which application is consuming the data usage right?

So far my data usage quite minimal, so I'm fine with it.

But my gf one, she kept telling me she just facebook a little and check mail but her data usage is very high.

Since I'm not the one using it, I also no idea how to check. Right now I suspect is her email's attachment is quite large.

Email doesn't affect much. I suspect that she leaves her 3G and notifications on 24/7, with their Safari app running behind on multiple windows. Many of my female friends do this, saying that they are just so lazy to turn them off. LOL.

Hmm I leave my 3G and notifications on 24/7 as well, because I want email, facebook, whatsapp to push to me. She already have the habit of closing background apps.

Just don't leave the 3G overnight then it should be fine.

I used iDataUsage apps...kinda useful when they can notify us every 5/10/20/35/50/over usage..

I do use that too but I'm not really sure if that's accurate enough. For me I always leave like 15mb++ unuse so that I won't get overcharge but you never know when Maxis start next month charging! Btw, if I want to cancel my contract with Maxis, what are the penalties I will be facing? The contract is until may and data plan is 500mb and I'm intended to move my number to another service.

wow.. tis is really bill shock!! some apps r run behind especially when ios4 use multitasking. so u won't kno tat ur data is leaking.. u tot u dy close ur running apps bt actually it's running behind..

At first damn scare the high usage amount , now the stone on my heart removed adi ...

Something weird that is my Cellular Network Data show total 553.1MB and the maxis bill show 527930KB usage only ...which is lower that my phone usage ...

Anyway ...kinda satisfied for the amount shown , hope my followingggg bill also wont shocked me
