any phone on any network, without data plan, even light surfing costs a lot. 10sen for 10kb. u dun need a smartphone to reach rm160 i remember using my dumbphone to check cinema showing times (i forgot the sms code to check) n got charged rm40 for it. u shud go for maxis mobile internet, rm58 for 500mb

i think i will get an iphone4 soon, But due to lots of over usage problems, i wish to learn how to limit the usage, i couldn't find any thread is teaching about that,

Besides the signal problem that happened to apple iphone4 anthennagate, there is another problem that i saw in a forum.

Situation:
XXX bought iphone 4 on 20th of September, he reload rm30 to his phone. On the next day which is 21st of September, his credit left rm0.75. But he never make any call or sms or on9 by using his iphone 4. 

Why is this happening? 

I wish to get myself a iphone 4, so i wish to understand more about this phone b4 buying it. 

Is this updated hourly or daily or only for last bill?

Please confirm and if can provide the screen shot. I wanna forward it to MCMC.

Need help here.. Last night i chcked my data sent n receive both below 20 mb.. Suddenly i chcked out this morning it pop out till both of it 4 gb? What the heck? Is it my phone prob or wad? Btw i took the ivalue1 plan for iphone 4 .. it scares the hell out of me..

P/s: so far i only use 3g to chck my fb.. If dwnload apps or update i use wifi.. Fast rply pls tq

My data counter is too showing 4GB sent and 4GB received overnight, or simply in the short 7 hours while I am asleep. 4GB seems to be the max for data counter. In the past, I have read Maxis will not be able to tell you your data usage before they finalised the statement, is it still true?

Sorry if this has been posted before but I can't seem to find anything in this forum.

I have been having an issue with my iphone 4 (O.S 4.1). I use General -> Usage to track my data usage but it seems to be inaccurate. The other day I checked and my total usage was 100+mb up to that point of time. Later on that day, I decided to just go back and check again and to my shock, it registered 4GB incoming and 4GB outgoing!!!!!!  I was shocked so I called up Digi hotline to ask and they told me that my usage was only about 14mb total to date. So i figured that there might be a mistake, so I reset the counter. I also make sure that I don't enable 3G and mobile data if not in use cos I heard a lot of cases of data leakage. While these settings were off, I tried using safari with wifi (3G turned off) and also sending sms to confirm that these actions will not have an effect on the data usage counter. True enough, there was no impact.

So things were ok for a few days. Then just now, the same thing happened again. I opened "General -> Usage" and there it was again! Data received = 4GB and Data Sent = 4GB!!

Anybody experienced this can help?? If not, where can I seek help?

jus compared the data logged on the phone and maxis bill, quite accurate i would say. only off by 1-2mb.

So do you know what cause the issue? From what I have gathered so far, people are just saying they are facing the same issue and calls to Maxis or Digi did not help. I don't see any solution or reason for this problem.

read through most of the post here.. i found out that most of em' are maxis users.. not stating that its the worst telco.. but if u look back all the post.. maxis users dominate the complaints here..

must be something wrong.. either the telco or the user..

guys, just curious, i subscribed to 3GB data plan from maxis,

would like to know for a normal usage like FB, mail, msn and youtube, would it be sufficient for a month?

additional question, does GPS usage count in the data plan?
