some ppl would like a big set of home theatre system, a console, a cd player bulk it all up in one room...while some, would just settle for a small n cheap one for all system.
in the end, it's not for everybody

QUOTE(PhoenixByte @ Jan 29 2010, 11:43 AM) actually for some, they just like a ONE ALL PURPOSE machine to do it all...and some just for the enjoyment that their machine can do more that it was supposed to do. Let's just say the wii for its size are smaller and more portable than the PS3 n PC itself, and by adding some brews on it, the wii can be an all purpose machine that be brought along wherever they go. thanks. i looked through the link, nothing that interest me. yeah. its not for everybody. but i imagine if i don't have a pc, then all those function would be very useful. But i guess it all goes back to preference. If u see some of the brews on the list below is something u would want for ur wii or for urself, then go for it http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_applications |

well, i think that the pc is able to do many things a console can't, even in comparison to the PS3 or the Xbox360
i mean that, one day, the PC will be able to read blue rays too...if you get the player to fit the compartment that is other than that...i really can't say that a modded wii, xbox 360 or the PS3 would be superior than a PC |

korean wii is cheaper in the market, but probably is sold as expensive as a Jap wii in malaysia
korean wii is missing the GC disc drive, Jap wii has it korean wii has some channel issues when you purchase it, probably the jap wii don't have the issue modding a korean wii is more dangerous in comparison to modding a jap wii as bricking issues are more common in comparison to the jap wii i can't think of any more right now...probably some of you would like to add on to the list?XD |

I have a Nintendo Wii and it's been really fun playing games on it. However I'm quite annoyed that I can't upgrade it if I want to use Homebrew Apps. So I after much research and trial and error I've finally found a solution.
I managed to get the Wiimote working with Windows 7 32 bit. And I can play the Wii games I rip off the DVDs. The best part is this is completely brick proof and region free. It's all legal because there is not agreement signed before you play a game saying you need to play a game on a real Wii console or you can't play games outside the region they are sold. Wii games runs flawlessly on my laptop, which of course I hook to a TV. So now I can use my laptop to play Japanese games and game needing updates which could brick my Wii console, which I can use to experiment Homebrew stuff on. And all this is completely LEGAL, so don't shoot me back with the no piracy stuff. You buy original games and play it on the PC. |

er...what can i tell ya?...enjoy your game?
it's kinda weird playing wii games on a PC...but well, not like there isn't anyone out there doing so either anyway...it's pretty amazing that you aren't experiencing any framerate issues though...a lot of console games don't run well on PC's because of framerate issues |

So I after much research and trial and error I've finally found a solution. If you read the instruction manual that comes with the game it clearly stated that "backup" or "archival" copies are not authorized and thus it's still illegal to rip the games from the original DVDs.I managed to get the Wiimote working with Windows 7 32 bit.
