QUOTE(Erny_Looi @ Aug 7 2011, 09:15 PM) 3G glass is glass door frame with aluminium, acrylic is acrylic/plastic material, frame with ABS. 3G glass door can't drill to install normal handle, only few types of built-in handle available. Acrylic door can drill to install any types of handles. The price wise acrylic slightly higher, but it can be scratch easily.. hi erny, u did white color membrane press kitchen cabinet not? any photos to share? planning to hv this in my kitchen, but most of the photos in ur album are 3G & laminita right? thks!

QUOTE(Erny_Looi @ Aug 8 2011, 08:26 AM) I mean there are may good contractors out there too, we are just normal one and I feel so stress when you ask people compare like that. Haha! I think we should not compare which one is good. Maybe Unity is good at A but not B and Everskill is good at B but not A. It all depends what you want and how comfortable when dealing with them.

Added on August 8, 2011, 11:19 pmanyway, thanks to those who shared with me, selflessly and sincerely, through pm, i got my answers. nowdays, the more "popular" they think they are, the more lansi they are, too bad, i won't pay these people.... First of all, well said. Maybe you can share whatever that was shared by others through pm without revealing your sources. It appears that one of the 2 kitchen cabinet maker you mentioned has got bad reviews. Please do share. Thank you in advance.

DrTay, i think, instead of waiting for feedback regarding who is better...maybe u can spend a little more time browsing through the history of this thread, and its pretty obvious who are the more reliable and trusted KC contractors here when i started following this thread, it was almost 60 pages long...and i actually read ALL 60 pages from page 1... not trying to flame anyone, but just suggesting a faster way to find your answer cheers!

Sone of the posts here look like commercial anyway. Sometimes I wonder if some of the posters are genuine and the KC makers are as good as mentioned. This forum is a good source for info but be more cautious if you are trying to get subcon/KC supplier here.
If you must, then PM some of them and you will more likely to find out if they are genuine.

Maybe we should get back into discussing about the different KC maker here. To list it down, i would probably say that we should compare Unity Design, Everskill and probably Eleganz Concept? I have approached Unity. What is the feedback on Everskill & Eleganz?

if there will b comparison between all these kc, it should be categorized as below;
a) hospitality (the way they treat us when we are at their showroom) b) friendliness ( the way the comm with us) c) thruthfullness (telling us the comparison of products without trying to gain money) d) honesty (giving us the true opinion and not just say ok for everything) e) punctuality f) calculative (are they goin to be calculative for very minor things ?) g) after sales service
i seriously think we cant compare much on the price as its very subjective as per the customer. Some customes wants expensive type and maybe others looking for cheap but good looking its always depend on customes needs.
just my 2 cents.

Anyone here have experience with Everskill Design? They are a kitchen cabinet maker that made contact with me from LYN to design and build my kitchen cabinet.
How is the workmanship and quality of product?

From my first impressions,
Unity Design (sales person: Eric)
Unity has been really helpful. In terms of replying my emails, they were very prompt. They replied my email within hours. The sales person, Eric was extremely helpful and friendly. Gave a lot of good ideas. However, the downside. After coming over to take measurements, i requested by email for samples/photos of the different doors & worktops that they provide. In the request, I included that if whatever I requested is unavailable, they should inform me. That was 4 days ago (requested on Aug 4). Until today, there has not been a reply nor a call to me to inform me. As far i can say, inconsistent level of customer service.
Everskill Design (sales person: Steve)
Respond was not as prompt. Email sent today will be replied the next day. Or the next week if email was sent on a weekend.
Eleganz Concept
Only enquired today. Correction* Sent pm on Aug 3. No reply since then.

From my experience, when u ask people JUST to compare A & B, then they will start giving their own opinion, but finally they will end up argue in the thread.. If you ask which company YOU GUYS recommend, then u can have many choices. People enjoy reading in forum, we hope that this thread will always in PEACE~ have a nice day everyone!

I always think, we spend years to build up the reputation, but the power of internet can destroy it in second. So as we are involving in service line, we always try our best. But it is impossible for us to make ALL the customers satisfy..even many businessmen told me this is normal, but we still feel stress when facing all this problem. We never think to take all projects in KL, but we hope that for those ordered their kc from us are satisfy. Regarding the mail reply, designers already try to respond as soon as possible, maybe you can contact them if you are urgent. Sorry to keep u waiting.

A forumer posted this question before but no answer given. My kc installer ask for 10% to book them (before coming to measure). After measurement they want me to give 50%. Is this a standard payment term in this line? For ppl already install kc, did you hold on some payment until you're sure therr's no defect after 2 weeks?
Need answer asap because I need to pay booking tml. If 10% I would be paying 900.
That day I asked whether I can get the quotation once pay 10%, they said no need cause it's just an estimation. Final quotation only give after measurement. Is this safe? Sorry, no offence to honest contractor/kc installer out there. It's just that I had bad experience before.
