now that you mentioned mechanical trays...

has anyone here been using BLUM systems? or does any KC maker uses or installed this system before? any comments on reliability and pricing?

i believe IKEA cabinets uses all BLUM systems.

Zean,

under the hob on both sides, i see got glass panels. i'm assuming its to prevent oil from staining the KC. Is that done by you or by owner?

DrTay,

i think, instead of waiting for feedback regarding who is better...maybe u can spend a little more time browsing through the history of this thread, and its pretty obvious who are the more reliable and trusted KC contractors here smile.gif

when i started following this thread, it was almost 60 pages long...and i actually read ALL 60 pages from page 1...

not trying to flame anyone, but just suggesting a faster way to find your answer happy.gif

cheers!

my new neighbor engaged unity and were very happy with their works. i myself will most probably be engaging Tim from eleganz.

both KC contractors are pretty well known here. =)

u could always take some time to visit their show room tho

Bro magnifizio,

i think it isnt exactly fair to compare the 3 KC makers here by their response time. All three of them did not really advertise their services...most of the advertising came in a form of feedbacks and recommendations from customers, and posting of their end products.

some of them are do not come online as often (as u've noticed steve and Tim have not posted here for some time).

well...if you seek attention, i would suggest to call to arrange appointment at show room/site. cos thats what most of the forumers here did.

Tim's response offline have been decent by so far. and i've called him over to my house to take measurements twice, and twice without fail being on time.

I have also engaged UnityD for quotation. But with all due respect to Erny and team, i did not choose them but chose Tim mainly because he's closer to where i stay and 1st time meeting was pleasant. (erny, excellent response from your design team on the 3D and quotes)

at the end of the day, pick the one you feel most comfortable with AFTER engaging them PERSONALLY, and not online >_<

sorry if my "english" abit harsh... hehe. having brain freeze after lack of sleep last nite tongue.gif

unity gave me a free quotation as well based off some scaled drawings i provided them.

Adele, did u email your floor plan to unity? i gave them a sketch last time, and got a reply fairly quick - 3 days, incl 3D drawings wink.gif

i also surveyed IKEA cabinets...loved them... but dont love the prices >_<

actually, outside KC makers also can give the same drawer systems, i believe maybe cheaper than ikea too smile.gif

i've booked my KC with Tim from eleganz design. hehe cant wait for them to come install in a months time.

Update my KC from Tim (Eleganz design), Hood and hob Fotile set + Maha sink + Sorento taps from Zheilwane.

Big thanks to Tim and team for completing my KC at such short notice. There was a delay from my tilers, which in terms delayed Tim from getting the final measurements. But they were kind enough to speed up production to install the KC for me before my move in date.

its 3G material. almost went for acrylic, but due to budget and long term maintenance concern, finally chose 3G glass... wink.gif
