Hi guys! About the Blueray lens problem, is it ok if we play original normal DVD (instead of *ahem* one) in our PS3?
The problem is my DVD player just broke. Do't want to waste money to buy a new one if PS3 can handle it. Plus, i can only rent ori DVD at Video Ezy near my place as they don't carry BD title yet.
Thanks

Thanks actually watching dvd or ur ps3 is splendid coz they got upscaling to make the vid appears HD. I watched my dvd on it every couple of times a week. If u're worried that the lense might spoil coz overuse of it...u can just use PS3 media server to stream ur vids from ur pc.

Just wondering, guys who kena YLOD, do you have enough space for the PS3 exhaust fan? There shouldn't be any obstruction (like wall, cabinets, etc.) for at least 6 inches. Please share how and where you place the console coz it might help others who place their PS3 so close to any obstruction.

The YLOD problem is not limited to any region or model....it's universal.
