YLKD is a general hardware error, it can be anything. Maybe in future when I visit Berbard, I will have a discussion with him on te matter.

Hey... It seems I have problem with my PS3 Power Board.. Any idea's how to fix it?

I was playing LOTR:Conquest.. Then, the PS3 turn off by itself.. When I try to on it again, it blinks yellow light, and dies off again...

I bought an 80GB Japan set.. How ah? I sent to the shop I bought and they said cannot repair... HELP!!!

yeah.. baru cuci sampah sarap yg menutup lubang angin kat depan tu (bawah BDROM drive). Earlier my PS3 blower fan produce loud noise but after clean the 'sampah sarap', the sound quiet a little bit... seem like the fan force to work harder if the vent full of 'sampah sarap'.

Morning!

I nearly shitted in my pants yesterday night. (yea, serious shit!) I was cleaning up my room after work. I held up the extension cable and spark came off from the plugs!

My LCD, PS3, Sound system were switched on at that moment.(I was listening to some music while tidying up the carpet, cabinet, room)

Everything suddenly shut down. I can feel my heart skipped a beat! Almost like having the feeling of a sudden acute heart attack! Damn! So I immediately unplug the plugs. (by the way, I had 8 power plugs connected to a 4 plug points.) Learnt my lesson!

I hurriedly rushed downstairs and grab an extension cable again (RM22.90) and a Gardenia bread, the chocolate with raisins (RM4.00) from a nearby shop. Luckily need not to drive out to Jusco!

Anyway, grabbed my stuff and back to home. And to my horror, I thought I burnt everything up, coz I changed the new ext cable and there's no electricity coming in. That's when my body started to engulfed with cold sweat!

I was in a state of losing my sanity and all of a sudden, I consciousness came back to me and I went to the living room and check the main power board. Switched everything back and recheck the plugs. Voila! Prob solved!

Anyway, since this is a PS3 discussion thread, I would wanna advise that please split your plugs into different plug point. No point of cramming 3 plugs in a plug point.

Regards, Joey.

p.s: Nearly died of heart attack yesterday! (my true story).

Um I've been seeing a lot of lens and YLOD problem around here. I'm a soon-to-be PS3 owner and I really concern about those sort of problem. Having said that, it does affect my judgment to purchase PS3 at the first place. icon_question.gif

What's the probability of experiencing such faulty cases?
