Nowadays the Matrix meter works pretty well and there is no actual need for M mode unless is situations where all shutter speed, aperture and ISO need to be adjusted to a specific level. Moreover the limitation of the D40s full-stop ISO advance (means from 200 then to 400 then to 800 etc...) does limit the M setting. Normally P, S and A work well enough with a compensation of +1/3 or -1/3EV depending on the situation.

i use M, A and S. if i know that i want to play around with my aperture, i use A mode. if i wanna play around with shutter, i'll go for S. M is when i wanna experiment the shot with shifting both priority from A to S.
i tried shooting in dark places with low dim light. i notice that the shutter will go slow and ghoting appears. what i did was to use the flash. i dont have an external flash that time. the pic came out very disappointing with the internal flash. in that case, will it help if i increase the ISO without using flash? i want to mantain the dimlight enviroment. |

QUOTE(Firdaus92 @ Aug 21 2009, 02:47 PM) I'm not asking for D300 body price.. I'm asking for D300s yup i know u r not askin the d300 price but as i said before.. if the price of d90 is still around rm4k the price of d300s should be more than 4.5K for sure.. so no need to worry, it'll be more than 4.5 k..just prepare rm5.5k la easyi would suggest going for afs 35mm 1.8 and i DO NOT suggest the new Tamron 1750 with built in motor. New Tamron 1750 2.8 with built in motor - SLOW FOCUS SPEED..seriously i've had this lens before and i missed a lot of important shots..(all are made in japan) Old Tamron 1750 2.8 without built in motor (AF on D90/D80 etc) - Faster focus speed than the new version but there are numerous reports of back/front focus problems. (Some are built in china/ some made in japan) either go for 24-70 2.8 or sigma 1850 2.8 HSM...dont ever take the tamron's with built in motor version. SLOW if you have d5000 and below which doesnt have built in motor..get the sigma HSMs... the tamron built in motor versions are slow..well at least slow enough that i cant do my wedding jobs as good as i can.. Added on August 22, 2009, 1:06 am QUOTE(hahli9 @ Aug 21 2009, 07:19 PM) yes a tripod would help a lot for lowlight/night landscape shots but it's not so good with humans & moving things..even if you shoot with a tripod at low iso+tripod, you need the subjects to stay very still for more than 1 second..like 3 sec..which in the end will create ghosting..This post has been edited by alpha_company: Aug 22 2009, 01:10 AM |
