maybe i can start shooting and then post up the pics and ask what went wrong with my shots...
boy oh boy.... now very excited dee....hehe...

alpha dude,
can post some pics with tamron lens that u bought? and maybe post pics using the normal kitlens...
i wanna see the difference between 18-55 kitlens vs 17-55 f2.8 tamron...

thanks...
*
LOL. There will be huge difference between these two lenses. You can't compare them both and of course the f/2.8 fare better.

oh, cant imagine Nikon change the kit lens for D60..
May be the cheaper price of the lens is compensated by the more pricey leather bag, so the price is still the same
*
I would rather choose a better lens than a leather bag.

very happy with the quality/result...  smile.gif

The guy behind quite distracting. And the composition not that good in my opinion. 35mm f/1.8?

@General_Nic.

Pictures are nice. But I think composition can be improved. Especially the 3rd picture. smile.gif

thx,
i'll accept any advise

im still not familiar wif manual settings
so the 3rd pic i used built-in night landscape scene mode
it came out like dat
lots of clouds cos it was raining earlier
n HK haze is worse than MY!!
*
Should try aperture priority. Low aperture if no tripod. But this kind of shooting, tripod surely come in handy!

guys,need some opinion here...
i'm planning on buying nikon dslr by the end of this month, and my budget is around rm1600 - rm2000, so i'm thinking of d40 / d60.
which one is better for a beginner like me?
pls help  notworthy.gif
*
I will suggest you to go for the D40. A good entry level dSLR, and definitely worth every penny. Save up to get a lens or perhaps SB 600 too! smile.gif

Maybe 70-300mm? Cost you about RM 300 only. Anyway, how much you bought the SB 900?

HDR effect cant be overused. Some photos are not suitable for HDR effect, if not will ruin the photo.

How about comparing it to 3rd party flash? SB 600 worth it?
