di622 will look very bulky on your D40. Seriously.

My D60 just gave me a problem. When i turn the lense to 55, i look through the viewfinder, the image keep shaking non-stop. Is something like the auto-focus is stuck. It creeps me off. Wats is the problem??

If I'm not mistaken the head of the Di-622 is larger than the SB-600 so it would look bulky.

Indeed very bulky. i am a D40+ Di622 user. When you sling the D40 mounted wih di622 on your neck the di622 which is heavy will make the whole camera points downwards, which is kinda weird and bulky. The lens is pointing downwards instead of forward =.=
But performance wise Di622 serves me well, I haven't tried Sb600, because I can't afford it and I don't have friends who own it...

I'm using SB-600. Actually SB-600 also make D60 points downward. But not sure whether SB-600 or Nissin di622 is bulkier.

Can add a 3rd party battery grip to balance... but will be heavy on your neck.

I think Di622 bulkier. It doesn't match the look of D40! Hmm maybe later i post a picture here, but not now, cuz I already packed my camera bag and i am going out later.. Lazy take out..
