omg... now how am I going to neuter dadarouch when got a picture of him like that T_T Not going to look at him the same way again.

Ok, for that pic, I'll give the hamsap chai a +2. Neutering put on hold.

Dotty is a pretty dog...i really hope that the restaurant owner will change his mind and decided to keep her...she looks so happy and free spirited...not suitable to take her away from the owner and cage her up...it will be very sad for her
*
I think maybe the owner wants her but not her puppies. Sometimes can't blame them if they don't want dogs because some patrons don't like seeing animals in/around restaurants. Anyway, good thing is that the owner will call us when Dotty gives birth and if he still wants her, maybe we can arrange for Dotty to be spayed. smile.gif (we being S.A.D/FFF/etc) tongue.gif

Please take note... for the safety of our furry friends at FFF...

Added on June 2, 2009, 2:40 pmAnd Yukaeshi, just a suggestion... but before that, did you watch a recent movie titled "Hotel For Dogs"?

Perhaps while waiting for the dog-tags, you could start a resident's log for the dogs at FFF... writing down their names, arrival dates (for newer dogs), short description of them, likes, dislikes and perhaps a birthday date for them... tongue.gif

Would take a long time but definitely worth doing...

sadly most of the dogs there are abandoned by owners or saved dogs...so getting their birthdays is hard

and from the number of dogs there...the arrival dates will be rly hard as well

Yukaeshi & gangs,

Here's one of the source from a pet shop nearby my house - regarding the dog collar.

user posted image

Item 1 & 2 - Stock from Thailand. Which is also cheaper as compared to Item 3. They are checking whether they still have the quantity we want. I told them we need a bulk qty for approx 100 pcs. Estimated price about RM7 or cheaper. Nylon material with bucket clip-on.

Item 3 - Nylon material with bucket clip-on, as well. Estimated price about RM9.

All 3 dog collars are adjustable. Suitable for puppy & adult dogs.

I saw some choke chains as well. But is not suitable to be used as dog collar because choke chains are heavier.
Next to the choke chains are some collars made by leather or nylon, which is more upper quality, more expensive as well, estimated around RM13 or so.

The owner of the shop knew that these collars are meant for the dogs at Furry Friend Farm. So I can assure that they will give us a very good price if the deal is on.

What do you guys think?

I think it shouldn't be a problem but if you're worried that it might fade, we can always take the chain off and just use a leash on the dogs when we bathe them.

As for the collar, I think use choke chain is better because it's more lasting. Fabric or nylon collar tends to get dirty/damaged much faster.

Birthdays shouldn't be too hard for the newer arrivals, as we can log in their date of arrival as their "birthdays"... but the older dogs will be more problematic tongue.gif I suppose we can also keep a log book of the dogs, with photos too... sounds like a good idea.

BTW, the choke chains I inquired will not rust. Estimated price RM 4+ for one, and if we're getting 150, the manager will give me a good discount smile.gif

My first encounter with Princess was on last Sunday, 31st May 2009. I never imagined it would be the last as well. About 3 hours ago, Louis told me she passed away (Tuesday, 2nd June 2009). The details will not be available until I visit Furry Friends Farm later today.

don't worry about it too much. she was probably ill and would have appreciated the attention you gave her.

what of the rescued dog that was down with distemper? is she ok?
