She needs a lot of help at Pulau Tengah and her farm too. It is obvious that the sooner we can get rid of those dogs in that hell island will be better. The worst condition is actually in Pulau Tengah, not Pulau Ketam, thus we will pay most attention in Pulau Tengah first. I might even organize a trip to help her out in her farm during one of the Sundays.

I do strongly disagree to put the dogs with SPCA, what is the point of getting them out there and sending them to another place where they will also have high chance being put to sleep later on. They might be able to live even longer.

Yes, one of the equipment you need is fishing net, just in case you really can't get hold of any of the dog, you need to set up some nice traps to get them but not those hurtful traps.

Anyway, just try our best to save as many as we can. smile.gif

Please keep us update should there is an event on that. I'd like to join. I am a dog lover, I could volunteer bath the dog, give them a good scrap and massage. smile.gif

My contribution, as per discussed with Adrian on MSN.

Initially, I wanted to buy as many cages as possible, however, the cost for a cage is not cheap, it is out of my budget.

However, I was inspired by this photo,

I read about you guys blogs and feedbacks, it seems that the area at Pulau Ketam / Pulat Tengah is harsh and not easy to deal with. Muddy, dirty, broken nails & kayu, trash, poisonous reptiles, bones (omg) etc etc. Therefore, I believe you guys need a safety foot wear to protect yourself.

Yup, the yellow safety boots!

I will contribute 10 pairs of Safety Boots (since my company is selling it, so I am able to buy it at a good/staff price).

Will get the sizes from Adrian. We have ready stock for shoes size 4, 5, 6, 7.

from my rough calculation,

FFF has 3 compounds,

1st compound - approx 20 dogs
2nd compound - approx 20 dogs
3rd compound - approx 30 dogs or more
freely walking around - approx 20 dogs

*3 compound = the place they prepare the rice & food

which means, total tags needed, roughly 100 tags +/-.

by the way, how does a "dog tag" looks like? unsure.gif

i am contributing cash $150 for the dog tags. adrian tai kor, next week baru sekali pass to you when we meet again.

For now S.a.D will probably do.

Just came back from FFF not too long ago- was just a short visit. Serene A is feeling jealous that the puppy's cage is right in front of hers and blocking her view tongue.gif Met TV Smith and Donald too. Hope's diagnosis came back as distemper, and it's confirmed. Hopefully she'll get better or make a full recovery. She's still hospitalised. Got the info directly from Sabrina.

I wouldn't mind donating the dog tags. Sometimes I have problems remembering the dog's names, so it would easier to look at their tags tongue.gif Plus they're not big amounts, so it's alright.

Since Sabrina was around today, wanted to bring Cash home for a week... but Sabrina said that Cash has to go with Joey. Cannot bring two dogs cry.gif She's so manja- I was petting Joey and then Cash came and pushed her head under my hand. Then when Sweetie and Cash tried to get my bf to pat them, Cash growled at Sweetie. Same when one of the dogs tried to approach my brother- Cash ran towards him and growled at the dog.

@chibi_tenko: I've asked them to be careful. They're probably going not on the pretext of trying to look for Kuning but to "have a look around". Nothing wrong with that right? I'll keep you guys updated if my friends spot any dog that resembles Kuning over there.

hmmm, looks like Cash is a jealous pig, she wants a full attention on her laugh.gif
Yukaeshi, why Cash has to go with Joey?

Would it be possible on the first page to put the links to blogs, FFF and how to make donations.

Not too sound like an ass, but i'd rather just donate ($$$) to help out with expenses then volunteer.

Busy with work & studies and can't find the time. And since got no gf, might as well give more to furry friends instead.

Hey guys (And girls XD),

Just came back from FFF. Didn't regret going today as had fun with you guys biggrin.gif I will definitely be going next Sunday... as I have to. Sabrina has tasked me with:

1. Checking expiry dates of the food in the storage, and arranging them accordingly (e.g. Those that expire the first on top, etc.)
2. Doing a stock check and making an inventory list of what's in the storage.

That means that I have to move and rearrange everything in the storage... despite having done so earlier T_T

So... I guess I'll have to flex my Head of Logistics position muscles... I will need at least 1 (Maximum 2) volunteers to help me with the moving of the stuff in the storage next Sunday sad.gif I can move and carry the 10kg packets of rice and other stuff easily by myself... but the 22kg dog food is probably going to kill me. I will be there quite early, before 11am.
*
Yukaeshi, count me in, I will help ya.

Adrian taikor, I am coming for this sunday jackfruit planting. I will arrive FFF before 11am, too. But I shall make a move by 2PM or so. smile.gif

Yukaeshi & gangs,

Here's one of the source from a pet shop nearby my house - regarding the dog collar.

user posted image

Item 1 & 2 - Stock from Thailand. Which is also cheaper as compared to Item 3. They are checking whether they still have the quantity we want. I told them we need a bulk qty for approx 100 pcs. Estimated price about RM7 or cheaper. Nylon material with bucket clip-on.

Item 3 - Nylon material with bucket clip-on, as well. Estimated price about RM9.

All 3 dog collars are adjustable. Suitable for puppy & adult dogs.

I saw some choke chains as well. But is not suitable to be used as dog collar because choke chains are heavier.
Next to the choke chains are some collars made by leather or nylon, which is more upper quality, more expensive as well, estimated around RM13 or so.

The owner of the shop knew that these collars are meant for the dogs at Furry Friend Farm. So I can assure that they will give us a very good price if the deal is on.

What do you guys think?

Regarding the choke chain, this morning I was discussing with Adrian about it.

My company is selling those. However, we only left with size 12", 14" & 16".

user posted image

12" & 14", we have sufficient stock.

16", we only left 1 dozen.

Price wise, it is around RM0.80 sens per pc.
We sell in dozens.
So approx a dozen of choke chain cost around RM9.60

I've withdraw 3 samples from my office and will try-on on our furry friends on this coming Sunday. See whether can accomodate or not, before we make our next decision.

That's a little update from my side.

Anyway, I've some updates on the choke chains.

I've made purchased from my company at staff price for the following items:

5 dozens of 14" choke chains
1 dozens of 16" choke chains

Total is RM57.00

Yukaeshi had given me RM100 from our inventory. So after paid up, we have RM43.00 left.
The money & choke chains would be passed to Yukaeshi on one of this day, as I wouldn't be joining FFF for the upcoming 2-weeks.

Yukaeshi, hope you don't mind ya, hehe since we live so near. tongue.gif
I will buzz you before you guys next operations.

===============================

Ohyah, we would make another round of ordering again if we run out of the choke chains, that's why we didnt make a bulk order right now. Gonna spend the donations wisely. FYI. smile.gif
