Same here!! I even tried jb-ing in Windows Safe Mode (as suggested by some who did it successfully).. no luck!!! Restored 3 times edi... arrgghh

Thanks to you all, I’ve successfully update my iphone to 3.0.1 & later jailbreak it using redsnow. However, I can’t seem to connect to the internet. Both Edge & 3G are both enabled. Reboot few times, the same problem persist. I have also ensured all fields in the Cellular Data are cleared i.e. APN, username & password.

I’ve surfed almost every thread in here, but hv yet to bump into the solution.

Appreciate if you guys could help me on this.

assuming you're trying to connect to your telco's network for internet (not WiFi), if fields in the Cellular Data Network are cleared ie. blank, how you supposed to connect to the internet?

so, I have to fill something in the blank fields? i left it blank before, no problem connecting to internet though. Would you be kind enough to guide me on this?

btw, i'm using celcom & my iphone 3G is an officially unlocked singtel unit.

of course you will need to fill those blanks with your telco's settings. or else it will be like trying to connect to Streamyx without a username/password.

strange, i never enter any network info and i am able to online right away.

If your phone is from Maxis or officially factory unlocked, you dont need to use ultrasnow to unlock.

Holy crap how could I forget this? Even my 3.0 JB was exactly the same, I could only JB in Safe Mode, how on earth did I forget?

I tried in Safe Mode and it didn't work as well.. bah...maybe because mine is 64bit Windows.. need to find a XP machine.. haha

For those of you who are having trouble with RedSnow 0.8, its a no big deal actually. The software is not designed for ipsw of 3.0.1 thus it reacts strangely towards it. So, all we need to do when we are stuck at the 'waiting to reboot' screen, just quickly, yes, quickly plug the USB cable from the iphone, and plug it back in within an instant. It worked for me, on the second try! Just keep doing it, and they iPhone will reboot, with the pineapple icon ' downloading the jailbreak data '. Don't be distressed over this. I just successfully upgrade from a 2G iPhone 8GB from OS3.0 to OS3.0.1.

is your iphone model 2G, 3G or 3GS?

if 2G get redsnow to re-jailbreak n re-unlock your iphone.
if 3G or 3GS locked set..... get redsnow to JB and ultrasnow to re-unlock it.
