ok, so a short synopsis. one piece follows the story of monkey d luffy, a young man who's ambition is to attain the legendary treasure left by the legendary pirate king, Gold D Roger the one piece. having eaten the gomu-gomu devil fruit, a fruit that gives him the ability of a rubber man but rendered him unable to swim, luffy sets out on his epic adventure. on the way, he is joined by roronoa zoro, a swordsmen with no sense of direction who aims to be the strongest in the world. nami, a money crazy navigator who's dream is to draw a map the entire ocean. sanji, the perverted cook who's searching for the legendary all blue. usopp, the cowardly sniper who aims to be a brave sea warrior. with this crew and the beloved ship, going merry, the crew entered the grand line, the toughest sea in the world. there they met their new nakama, chopper the medic. nico robin the archaeologist, franky the shipwright, and the newest nakama brook, the walking talking skeleton musician.
with plenty of adventure, battle and hardship faced and with plenty more to come and the marines hot on their trail, what will our mugiwara crew face next, in their quest to find the one piece.

Just got done reading and watching One Piece until the Enel arc. I got to say, Sir Crocodile is one of the best villians in One Piece. The way he orchastrated the destruction of Arabasta was really brilliant, coupled with his cool laugh and his ruthless sand powers.. I watched that arc twice. The Enel arc was quite boring despite his godlike lightning powers.

crocodile was great, with his scheme and tactics and organizational skills. but wait till you get to the ennies lobbby arc, luffy vs cp9's i forgot what his name are battle is the best battle so far to me

ya is lucci..and the moria was not so good battle for me..but like the kuma and zoro part

yep, the leapord guy. that is one epic battle, and the going merry sending off made me cry

im a zoro fan so scene involving zoro is a win for me

I'm a Sanji fan.

going merry sending off was sad. but nothing beats luffy & co departed after the battle together with Vivi-chan in her father's kingdom. the part where all crew members raised their hands with the 'bandage' really made me cry back then.

Much prefer the Viking Funeral for Merry.

I'm at the Foxy Pirates part now. Seems to be quite boring with the lame tournaments although Foxy's peh peh peh laugh is hilarious. Favourites so far are Chopper and Zoro.

anime episode 399 RAW is out. superb animation and tensed moments. frankly upgraded motobaro animation on trafalgar law's power does the manga justice.

when merry died time is one of the most touching scene in OP la. First time oda remove a character permanantly from his comic. And summore the character is a boat which appear together with ussop early in the story.

kindda sweet when the crew sumtimes remind of merry. example is when their new boat have a mini merry in it. =D

I skipped most of the sad part coz i dun like sad animes I juz wan to see them fight.

thats not good, you have to watch/read every scene in one piece. no skipping is allowed
that said, i read everything in onepiece, even the sbs corner (if you buy the manga) and pay close attention to the chapter introduction page, where oda tells about the stories of previous character.

When watching or reading One Piece, one must go thoroughly with it.

Juz finished watching ep 399, really an awesome ep. But seems to me ep 400 will be a filler ep. Law + Kidd vs Fake Kuma... Good match up though already knew how it's gonna end. Doesn't matter coz mangas and animes give different type satisfaction

in term of arcs, i like crocodile arc. and the last battle between mugiwara crew vs baroque work was totally awesome

i stil prefer CP9 battles personally.

the one when the crew members stand on the opposite of the building, while robin-chwan being held hostage by the CP9 fellas oso damn touching.

Just finished the Enies Lobby arc. Got to say the attack on a fortress thing was quite awesome. The Rob Lucci vs Luffy, Chopper versus the extremely funny kabuki guy and the Zoro vs Kaku was quite good. My only dislike about the arc was Rob Lucci. Yes the battle with him and Luffy was awesome, but in terms of being a villian, Crocodile and Arlong were better.

guess what? one piece 541 is out!

i have to agree with you there. arlong park is one of the best arcs so far.

lucci cannot b said as villain..coz he is part of secret agent of marine n also CP9

I think some of the marine are can be considered as villain since some of them are corrupted.

Lucci thirst for blood makes him a villain.

if were looking from the civillian point of view, all pirates are villain

Garp is not a devil fruit user if I'm not mistaken. Kaku wasn't a devil fruit user back then but still kick some ass. Shanks is not a devil fruit user. Sogeking is not a devil fruit user.
