QUOTE(lordzarx @ Aug 2 2010, 06:05 PM) hi, does anyone know the roughly the price of CQ40 AMD base Mobo and intel base mobo? two of my fren laptop mobo rosak already.....the shop where my fren send for repair quote a price around RM300-RM500 for the mobo....i'm a bit sceptical...why so cheap i tot the price of mobo is about RM1000? so anyone know roughly the price of new mobo include labour? long time didn't post here already, last time i checked at hp center at lowyat plaza, they quoted me for the mobo for my cq40-401ax is about rm1k btw, is it normal if the caps lock and scroll lock lights flashing after some heavy gaming? i've experienced this before and now i just used my lappie for some surfing and doing my assignments only.

Hi guys, I got a buddy who has the CQ40-401AU laptop, its processor apparently died just after his warranty expired. Can I buy a replacement processor off ebay or something to fix it? HP wants RM900 to fix it, and I'm pretty sure I can get the same CPU at ~RM150 or so off the net.
Also, the processor used is a Turion X2 RM-70? Friend only knows it's a 2GHz dualcore.

What wireless card you have? From google, its only support wireless b/g hence the 54Mbps ....

My friend's 401AX just died. Got the dreaded blinking capslock and scroll lock, can't even boot into bios. Most likely a motherboard problem. Might as well buy a new notebook right? Replacing the board would probably cost about RM1k.

He said it is the GPU graphic problem. The hot air from the processor causing this problem. Better fixed it. Last time i keep delaying. Cause it will boot up again if we leave it fro sometimes. I just afraid the data from HDD corupt due to bad boot up.
