Guys, pls if somebody knows all the Windows XP Drivers for CQ40-401au, pls tell me. Or if anyone willing to help pls post the drivers here. I need those drivers urgently as I have several programs that needed to be run at XP. Thanks.

if i open the bios update using wine in linux, would there be a problem?
plus, i'm using cq40-406au (bought from tesco, using amd athlon ql-64), is that bios suitable for my lappie?

I think the BIOS updater is only for Windows XP or Vista. You can try download it and run it. It is a Windows based flashing program.

AMD has advantage over the graphic card, Intel has the advantage on faster processor in most of the models

yeah .but in normal usage i think you hardly can feel the different smile.gif

If compare CPU only C2D is much better. Faster clock per clock, cooler and battery last longer. AMD's 780G platform is good thanks to the HD3200 GPU. The CPUs are comparable to the previous Core Duo only.

Both Intel and AMD supports 64 bit nowdays. 64bit doesnt mean better performance. If the apps, games is not optimised for 64 bit, performance will drop. 64bit Windows supports 32 bit apps/games by using emulation through WOW(Windows on Windows)
