My dvdrom is dead..any idea how to repair it? Did you guys think if I update the firmware it should be ok? It can detect cd/dvd..but whenever I try to open files inside cd/dvd, myy lappie failed  ----------- Editted: Ok, guess what, after I flashed the BIOS from version 4A to 49, all the problem gone. Not even can read the data properly, now I can write/burn the data properly ...thanks guys! Very nice info on 1st page...keep it up  Added on June 29, 2010, 12:14 am--editted again Anybody experience overheated CPU temperature after bios upgrade? my cq40-401ax cannot turn on again... now the LED blink 4 times indicate there is a GPU problem... anyone got tips how to solved it? warranty finish already....

If you don't like extra heat from your notebook, better avoid CQ40 Series altogether. Advise from experience.
