the sony e290 player has 1 hdmi output but not sure about setting to stream out the audio/video to avr. u're rite that the speakers have special connector to the player. question, can I cut the connector and use the loose end wire to connect it to avr ? anyone tried this before ? tq

I guess you Sony E290 speakers at 3ohm and I can't recall any of the mass market AVRs was to handle speakers at 3ohm..

Can go for 92" screen for the room width. A FHD projector, projector mount, power outlet, and you will have a mini cinema.

Btw, is it plaster ceiling?

Hi guy, need your opinion,

I have a LCD TV that connected with ps3 & 1 media player using HDMI. Looking for a basic speaker (i have space issues with my house) to used with my ps3 (gaming and blueray movie) & media player (Mp3, and HD movie).

Any recommendations?

Because of plaster ceiling, we need to make a hole to put the mount into it. Also need to find out how high is the concrete ceiling.

If no concrete ceiling inside plaster, we need to get something to hold the mount. It is not advisable to mount on plaster ceiling as it tends to vibrate under bass heavy scene.

The other thing is the additional work and cost.

The Blu-ray player's HDMI input would need to support the Ethernet channel, which AFAIK is not enabled for most devices out there.

I don't really understand what you mean by OEM RM45 cable or on9 though. If you mean using RJ45 Ethernet cable, it's not possible to share your TV's WLAN connection to your Blu-ray player.

The HDMI 1.4 spec supports Ethernet, but the device it is connected to needs to have the Ethernet channel open to support it, which is not supported by most manufacturers at this point in time.

Also, Internet sharing is generally not a matter of hooking up one device to another with a cable, the source device would need to have some sort of feature to share its Internet connectivity. In layman's terms, think Windows' Internet Connection Sharing service.

Hi, I'm a newbie in Home Entertainment and I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask. Anyway, I want to install those laptop to karaoke system in my living room but having some problem. My problem is I can't get any sound from my wireless mic.

Currently this is what I have:

1) LED TV
2) Home Theatre connect to my bluray via HDMI
3) bluray player connect to my TV via HDMI
4) DVD player connect to my bluray via HDMI (here has a mic input)
5) Wireless mic (connect to DVD player)
5) Laptop connect to my bluray via HDMI

Since TV only has 1 HDMI input to be select, it seems like I can't get the mic working (which is connected to the DVD player). I can only display my laptop to TV and has sound. But mic doesn't have sound come out. Do I need an amplifier to get everything in as a hub and then output to TV? Is there such amplifier?

Anyone can help. Sorry that I'm not really good at describing. Hope someone can help! Many thanks!
