bro is that a sac for your mbp? why does it seems so long hmmm.. anyways, just realizes that my mbp doesnt fit into its normal sleeves anymore with the see thru satin intact. the texture and the size of the cover makes it really difficult to fit into the sleeves.

so now im thinking whether if the laptop were to drop, or when moving around in a bag, will the satin be enough protection? hmm.gif

it is a sleeve for the MBP 15", still cant take photos with the lappy inside cause busy writing report now.
will take some shot later when i manage to shut down...

You don't need to get multiple skins. Gelaskins have been reviewed as easy to remove and, best of all, not leave any marks on the MBP.

MacNN review
Shogun Gamer review

Too bad nobody has done a review after several months of use...

Lol... Thats what they said for Invisible Shield and guess what, after using for almost 2 years on my iphone, when I wanted to remove my IS, the sticky part actually sticks to my iphone screen and I had to like rub it out with my fingers... It took me like 30 minutes to really get all those residual out... So it does nto leave any marks but does leaves residual but of course Im not sure how long after you stick and it will leave residual there...

True. Nobody writes reviews of items X months old. But my earlier post was mainly to debunk the myth that you needed to buy multiple skins to prevent imperfect sticks.

iMac isnt meant for portability... I think to save money just use the box as what dvlz said... Since you are going to bring it back to your hometown right? Dont think you would wanna risk bringing it out to the streets as it will become a thief magnet =)

Hi. I was wondering whether a skin would be sufficient in keeping a laptop from scratches, or should I just get a sleeve without a skin, or a bag without a sleeve or skin? I am quite confused, since the prices do vary between the choices.
Again, I duly apologize if this is considered one of the things I should have researched for myself, instead of troubling the forum gurus. T_T

Most skins cover only the flat area of the lid (back of the screen) and some have overlays for the trackpad and palm area. This means corners, bottom of the laptop and keyboard area will be unprotected.

A sleeve wraps around the whole Macbook and usually provides a certain level of water protection. However this protection lasts as long as the laptop is INSIDE the sleeve, ie it's still a naked laptop when you bring it out to use.

Skin as in Invisible Shield type? Or you mean casing as in Speck/Incipio casing.... Skin/casing does keeps your laptop from scratches except those ports and the edges of the lid... Currently Im using a casing (Speck see thru satin) with a backpack.. Since I have a casing, I can ditch the sleeve =)... Its up to you to choose... Casing and Skin basically almost the same as its a layer of either a sticker/plastic casing..
