dvlzplayground- Thanks sharing...Yeap I afraid the dust might get stuck at the side.. On top of that what I was asking earlier how natural will you MBP look like after sticking with IS? As we can see from the 1st pic the reflection can tell there is a layer of film on the surface...
That's why I tend to pull back a little as the price is not cheap as well.. sad.gif
But is always looks better with "nekked" laugh.gif

The IS looks damn nice! But i am using Speck casing already, and I don't usually bring out my MB out from the house. I bought cooler balls to put underneath the MB to alleviate it heehee tongue.gif
*
I feel bored with my Speck(yellow) as well, not sure which casing to buy mostly they look the same...
How much you bought your support cooler balls?? I'm using one for myself as well... smile.gif

QUOTE(realpesky @ May 15 2010, 03:31 PM)
the laptop is nicer without anything. haha.. just use a sleeve when you're bringing it somewhere and take care of it so that there will be no scratches. just my opinion though.

But accident do happen bro... No matter how careful you are... rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

Yeap the IS tends to turn yellow when it gets a lot of heat =)... And yea dust will tend to stick at the edges... Same problem as my iPhone but of course my iPhone is far worse cause I bring it everywhere =) So its still up to you guys... But of course it does looks good as though as its naked but with protection =)..

Yea accident does happen but of course we still have to be careful... =)... Like my iPhone I think i dropped it only about less than 5 times for 2 years now... Touchwood la of course... =)

I know there are a few nice casing like the incipio but doesnt really suit my preference and also expensive... So I would prefer to get a good backpack or sleeve and a normal average looking casing that protects it from scratches... Will definitely use it naked after some time...

Going back to the dust issue of Invisi Shields, does anybody have any experience of similar problems with Gelaskins or similar?

Hmm... If we think logically, I think other than IS, those which is similar with IS (some sort of a sticker type) would have edges of the sticky part right? So my guess would be after a long period of usage, dust will also be collected... Dust particles are small and when it accumulates.. Then you will get to see them.. Of course location of usage does contributes to the dust collection

Gelaskin is some sort of those design stickers that you stick on your laptops... Umm nothing is perfect right? haha... So if we can afford it, when your shield gets too much dust collected, then we should change them... Its normal that things gets worn out and we need to find a replacement =) If not there wont be business/profit for those companies if it can make a product that lasts forever.. Haha

That works except if you're like me and have the artistic tendencies of an elephant with chronic diarrhoea.

However, when applied with proper talent, you'll get something awesome. Like this...

Lol... I was thinking of getting the iron man decal.. Looks cool.. But it seems like its hard to apply and people advise to get a few of them in case one goes wrong... Hmm... But I also think that when I get bored of it then it would be a waste and dirty my MBP..

You don't need to get multiple skins. Gelaskins have been reviewed as easy to remove and, best of all, not leave any marks on the MBP.

MacNN review
Shogun Gamer review

Too bad nobody has done a review after several months of use...

No, looks like some permanent marker, probably copic marker considering it's done by the lead of the developers of Little Big Planet.

bro is that a sac for your mbp? why does it seems so long hmmm.. anyways, just realizes that my mbp doesnt fit into its normal sleeves anymore with the see thru satin intact. the texture and the size of the cover makes it really difficult to fit into the sleeves.

so now im thinking whether if the laptop were to drop, or when moving around in a bag, will the satin be enough protection? hmm.gif

Nope.

The satin case protects the laptop from scratches and minor stains. Stains caused by excessive exposure to many forms of combustion, face-melting corrosive agents, death rays and head-on collision with somebody's face at speed are likely to overcome the case.
