i use a nike laptop sleeve for my mbp 15" and a crumpler skivvy i just bought at klcc after pc fair on friday. ermm just one complaint is that the skivvy is quite small and only two compartments. but that justifies the price of around rm200 i guess.
thinking abt heading there to get another. but i think the prices there are quite alright. saw this bag selling @crumpler klcc for less than rm200 but machines selling for rm400+ for the same thing. bsides you color selection there is wide. |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Oct 29 2009, 09:29 PM) @llsphinxll, im thinking abt getting the tsunami design for me mbp 15". but its pretty expensive inclusive of shipping and everything. and according to that person (after i pm him), i cannot combine shipping. so still thinking of whether to get that, or fabrix. heard of that bro? singapore company. they make pretty good sleeves for both laptops and accessories. You're most welcome; so which one are u getting? Are u gonna be getting a sleeve?! I'm still thinking about the sleeve *siGh* it'll be good if can see the actual thingy though - let me know which one ur getting here's the link. |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Oct 31 2009, 12:21 AM) @llsphinxll, oh haha sorry sis. According to the foodshop.com website, the postage charges aren't combine-able; that sux I know cause we were both hoping to save on shipping. Haven't heard of fabrix but am checking out their website as I type this; looks quite nice but am not too sure about the padding; and I don't like the velcro thingy *grins* And, it's sis PS: I just checked out the website; it's not cheap there either. For the kinda price, I prefer to go with foofshop.com and fabrix corp offers personal customization for just any device and any measurement. and can add zips and pouches on the sides. |

QUOTE(Voxe @ Mar 19 2010, 11:03 AM) I thought your one was Skin-mate? I read review that the Speck case need to constantly open up and clear the dust inside. that day i dropped my macbook accidently. good thing it was inside a sleeve. a nike one. so there wasnt any damage to the mac at all, at least i dont notice anything till now. but i recon if my mbp was in a casing, it might have damaged both the casing and the mbp. but nevertheless, a casing wud protect your mac against small small scratches. but for protection against a drop, a wud recommended a thick sleeves. QUOTE(Kernkraft400 @ Mar 19 2010, 12:22 PM) think you shud b able to find that in crumpler klcc bro. |

bro is that a sac for your mbp? why does it seems so long hmmm.. anyways, just realizes that my mbp doesnt fit into its normal sleeves anymore with the see thru satin intact. the texture and the size of the cover makes it really difficult to fit into the sleeves.
so now im thinking whether if the laptop were to drop, or when moving around in a bag, will the satin be enough protection? |

QUOTE(tarvalslain87 @ May 26 2010, 09:48 AM) Any hard/solid casing that are expose to the environment will be prone to scratches unless of course its pure rubber or other soft material... Speck see thru satin is just a thin layer of rubbery type surface.. Maybe you could rub the scratches off? Should be able to as it is soft... yeah no scratches on the mbp. but i feel kinda sayang as i really like the speck see thru satin, and i dont think they make anymore for the early 09 model. maybe i will get one spare. i can't b protecting the cover as the cover is sposed to protect the mbp. But yea doesnt matter as your MBP isnt scratched.. Thats whats the casings are for =) |

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ May 26 2010, 12:20 PM) if u want to protect the speck cover, buy a cheap sleeve. DO NOT buy a nice, expensive sleeve, because then you'll want to protect the sleeve haha guess what? i already have a pretty awesome sleeves before i bought the speck see thru satin. but guess what? after fitting the speck onto my mbp, i cant fit it into the sleeves no more. but if you ask me if the mbp was dropped at the same height, the sleeves wud give more protection than the speck. the speck wud just crack and break, while the sleeve (i think any sleeves) wud absorb the impact. protecting your lil baby inside it. |
