Its not "really" meditation per se. Simply sitting cross leg , close eyes and imagine the nature and all its wonders, the sound of running stream waters, waves hitting the beach, prehistoric females running by naked.

Hi Sis Squirrel,

I do Vipassana meditation. But due to laziness, I don't practice regularly.
Anyhow for sleeping problems, you might want to take calcium magnesium & B complex. The recipe you can find on internet.
My bf used the recipe and is sleeping better. We take organic vitamins, so it's also not harmful at all thumbup.gif

But of course whatever stress caused the sleeping problem, have to identify and solve it. This part might need professional help.....

Does it get better after you sit up? Wake up in the middle of the night suddenly and find hard to breathe? You might wanna reconsider consulting a doctor. Not meaning to scare you but i read before it says it is one of the symptoms of heart failure. Sorry if im wrong.

For easy to get over the counter herbs, you might wanna try valerian. It has been shown to be useful in some people in calming themselves, but it does not work for everyone. No harm trying though. But if it persists for quite some time, u might wanna consult a doctor...

Where to find Valerian locally? I went to one neighbourhood pharmacy, they're not selling.

you may want to try aromatherapy. Lavender essential oil can help keep u calm. make sure u purchase 100% essential oil and not those cheaper ones. The scent from 100% essential oil lasts longer.

take up meditation (as mentioned by others) or yoga and practice it at least a couple of times a week - it'll help u stay calm and also physically tired, so u can sleep / rest better at night smile.gif
